so can we agree that midwitch is also a broken map? 🤦
so i recently i have been playing a lot of survivor on midwitch. and i honestly think it sucks. just like haddonfield, it favorites one side over the other. you can hear survivors on different floors, and it completely throws off perks like spine chill. besides that, the exits spawn in the same spot every single time, and they are right across from each other. so it is extremely easy to stand in the middle and see whether survivors are on them or not. especially with almost every killer running noed these days, it makes it damn near impossible to escape. its killer-based in my opinion and really needs a rework. maybe make it so exit gates are in other places, including the second floor. or we could nerf it entirely. What do you guys think the devs should do. (also sorry if im biased. i always just have a really hard time playing on midwitch, even if it is a killer who has no idea what they are doing.)

Complete rework.
If the killer has no mobility based or ranged power (Bubba, Doctor etc) the map is an amazing map for survivors as all they have to do is run in a straight line down the corridors. And when the killer eventually catches up, they can run into a room and drop a pallet.
Even then, most tiles are safe, but boring. Personally just rework the map entirely.

I love the look but it's so boring actually playing on it

Change nothing, it is fine as it is and a good survivor should be able to counter these things.
I voted to change nothing but at the same time the exit gates shouldn't ever spawn that close. If you're the last survivor alive and the killer is running remember me, it's pretty much game over.

The problem with this map is that it depends heavily on the killer.
My Deathslinger LOVES this map. Those halls are death traps.
My Clown just wheezes up and down the corridors.

This map is total garbage.
Long hallways with very few pathways means shift + w gaming abound. If you see an object on this map as killer you may as well just DC or not chase that survivor and hope they're not a SWF as they will be able to hold W so long 2-3 gens will pop by the time you're close enough to the survivor to force them onto a pallet/window loop (thats if you're a 115 killer, 110 killers are just plain boned) and once that survivor is down the next survivor will be able to do the exact same thing. 2 stories also make the map effectively quite large for non teleporting killers. A few matches ago I played against a deathslinger while solo Qing with object on this map and he ran after me for 3 gens before I even had to drop a pallet. By the time 5 gens were done I had dropped 1 and vaulted one window.
Meanwhile the map is miserable for survivors who aren't doing this, due to the terror radius and verticality interacting poorly meaning there's no way to know whether you're a safe distance or not without a killer aura read on some gens, meanwhile the pallets are the exact opposite of gideon in most circumstances. While I don't know how the total pallet count compares, the extremely limited mobility on this maps makes the pallets feel far more limited since you can basically only go 2 directions from any given point on the map, whereas you can get to anywhere from anywhere on other maps. Among the pallets you do get, a lot of them are unsafe, save a few (1 or 2 of the classrooms will have a safe pallet, sick bay, the pallet at the bottom of the meat stairs are the only ones that come to mind)

Make small changes, such as more pallets and loop options.
I don't think there should be more pallets but some that are there suck and can be buffed so that the skill for both sides is valid.

I survivor most of the time on it as survivor. It's actually pretty tough on killer, though.

The map does need some changes, however the difficulty of the map just depends on which killer you're going against. A hag, a decent nurse or huntress and you're going to really struggle. But most other killers and I pretty much have an easy game on the map.

I too have found that the map depends heavily on not just which killer is chosen, but the skill of the killer and the luck of the hook / generator placement. I survived this map against the Nurse, but lost it against the Wraith. I got some kills as Michael, but didn't accomplish anything as the Clown.
The map is pretty complicated. Multiple floors, aura reveals that can throw you off, very similar hallways, false lockers and colors that can help to obscure blood, etc. It's a unique challenge, I like it regardless of which side I'm on.

I actually think its survivor favored Unless you get to the door situation, as mentioned they're right next to each other essentially. But that's only endgame and a small fraction of the match. Most killers have it very rough on the map.
But the map is beyond redemption and needs an entire rework imo. If we could rework the map but keep the visuals that would be ideal.

Make major changes, such as exit gates spawning other places, and not being able to hear survivors on different floors.
i actually have to agree with this. at first i thought it should just be nerfed and have changes, but i honestly think the map is beyond fixing now and just needs to be completely redone.

Midwich is fine the way it is, I personally think this map is very eerie and cool. There’s many good pallets and good drops, the breakable walls in the map can be very ######### for killers. I think you need to play on the map more and adapt to its environment, then you could get better on being on it.

Other: most people dont get how ro play on midwich so they fail alot. All kt really needs is a few less god pallets, fewer hooks in the hallways(ive seen 3 in one hall before how is that ok) and maybe a bit brighter in the classrooms. Thats all though
