Do you ever give a thumbs up after a match?

I've been mostly reading a lot of survivors/killers call each other names, blame each other for various reasons, most of the topics in general discussions are about that and I've seen that you can report others for various reasons. However, there is a thumbs up option as well. Do you ever give other survivors a thumbs up after a match?

It doesn't do anything so there's kinda no point. If you're a streamer then you could do it as a public show of good sportsmanship. Otherwise it's basically pointless, lol.

Nope. More often than not, I drop a gg and leave immediately. Its better for the mental wellbeing.

They really should add badges like in LoL for thumbs ups. Would give the thumbs up a purpose.

It drives me crazy as I play console and I see good survivor or killer play and I can't say anything to them.

I used to but now I don't because there's absolutely no feedback on what it actually does or if it even works the way it's intended.

I used to when I was new. But then when I realised it doesn’t actually do anything, I stopped doing it. I also used to rate how fun my matches were. Oh to be a noob again. 😂

Same -- I used to and then I stopped because it doesn't do anything.

I would, if it actually did anything.

I used to, but after I learned it did nothing I stopped doing it and I keep forgetting it exists.

I just wish it notified the people I have given a thumbs up and vice versa. I think it be a nice bit of positive reinforcement.

I do. I don't think it changes anything for anyone else, but I find, especially if I lose that it helps me focus more on the positives from the match than the negative.

From what I know it reports a player as a positive player, but other than that it doesn't do anything else.

I used to when I was new to the game, But stopped after realizing it was pointless and did nothing.

It's completely pointless so I never do. If another player played well and it was a good game I'll say gg. If it was a really fun game I might go on their profile if they're on steam and leave one of those +rep comments. That's almost pointless too, but slightly less so.

Would like a system that positive feedback is seen by the other players.

I know the person won't ever see it or know I did it, but if a player was mvp or just really impressive over all in a match without being overly toxic, I'll give them a thumbs up.

I do only whenever the survivors meme with me or when a survivor is really, really good and also respectful.

I read somewhere that, even though thumbs up doesn't do anything, the Devs keep track of them. Maybe someday a reward system of something will get implemented.

I forgot that thing existed. Havnt used that since my first 10 hours maybe? I don't believe it does anything nor can you see it's effects.

It's rare for me to do it, but when I do get a match that's really fun I always make sure to thumbs up the survivors or killers.

Very rarely because others usually do thing I gave little respect for, I had a plague the other day I was impressed with in terms of skill bur then she was also running effectiveness add ons and started returning to the hook.

That is just weak so no thumbs up from.me

I like the phrase "humble in success, gracious in defeat" so yes, I've had a habit of giving thumbs up to everyone when I have a particularly good game. There have also been some very sportsmanlike killers and I really wanted them to know that I respected them for it, so I gave props to them too.

It frustrates me to have learned that no one is made aware of when this happens, the gestures seem to do absolutely nothing. If that's by design it's really kind of manipulative, making players think that they're actually communicating something positive to each other when they're just "talking" to a brick wall. I've said before that I'd really like a thumbs-up animation in the game, just a simple way of letting someone know that you respect them and their game. Of course it would quickly be abused sarcastically and soon no one would know how to interpret it anymore, but it would still be nice to have the option.

To be honest it really bugs me that, as someone who enjoys sportsmanlike behavior and mutual respect, these sentiments can't easily be communicated to other players. It makes me wonder how much of the fanbase really isn't as toxic as people say and we just don't know it because they can't express themselves.

The same happened to me in reverse. A killer gave me probably the most satisfying match I've ever had a few nights ago. Though we nodded to each other it didn't feel like enough, he brought me to the hatch and I wanted to tell him that I not only respected him for his sportsmanship, I respected him for the lengthy (28 minutes), competitive game he gave me. He was apparently on console because I couldn't find a Steam name or anything else matching him. No way to communicate and it drove me nuts, I think that players who are both skilled but also truly decent people deserve to be praised.

I sent him a friend request after the match as a last resort but who knows if he'll remember my name or understand why I even sent it. I'd like to think so, but the point is that if the props feature worked I'd KNOW so.

Very rarely, but sometimes if I really mpressed by some players wholesomeness, I give a thumb up.

Rarely like when survivor got into huge trouble because of his teammates and in post game chat he stay polite and friendly. It's like find a unicorn. All I can do is give him a thumb up and leave a good commentary in his steam profile.

Yep, I do. If anyone says something positive in the end game chat, I give them a thumbs up.

If a killer was particularly skilled, I give them a thumbs up.

If a Survivor helped me out in a risky situation, I give them a thumbs up.

Basically anything particularly positive that I see from a player in a match, I give out a thumbs up.

To my knowledge, it doesn't do anything now; but if I see someone being nice I hand out a thumbs up as a token of my appreciation.

I've give killers mostly thumbs up. Providing they've actually given me and my team a fair match to play. If I'm being body blocked or my ass is taken hostage I fairly report them.

All depends how they play, I've had to report 2 of my team a few days ago for deliberately body blocking me in a corner after healing them both, and the reason for it they had was I apparently brought the killer to them. If I had the perk to see where my team were and it was deliberately done then yeah call me out and sabotage me. But I didn't. I saved, I healed, I fixed gennies. I think the more reason of it being was because they were hooked and I wasn't and they just wanted me to be hooked to make it even. Had asked if that was the case and they said it was down to me bringing the killer to them.so I was gonna go down and out the game. So therefore rightly so reported them both.

But yeah if you're a chill player both sides il send a thumbs up over.

it will completely depend on how they act in the post game chat, if they're nice then yes I will.
