Rural Midwest American. Sometimes my times get much worse, typically at night. I'm not sure what the cause is, but my ping hovers around 170 if it's having one of those episodes.

South American servers are great, although sometimes (usually during the afternoon) they seem to get temporarily disabled and the game sends us to NA servers for like half an hour.

I always wondered about this. I've been in quite a number of games were both survivors and the Killer had a fixed latency of 200ms or so. Ah well, yet another bad thing of living in South America. :(
Also the further you are from Brazil (which is where the server is located, I'm fairly sure) the worse your ping will be, so I'm not sure about S.A servers being that great. I always have an average of 90. It's not terrible, BUT it makes the difference sometimes, y'know that window or pallet you've already vaulted years ago, yet you get hit anyway... things like that.

I usually have around 17 - 27ms, if i have more than 100ms I dodge the Lobby but that rarely ever happens.

What kind of connection do you have? Wifi or cable? Also, what time of hour of day you play on? I feel, for me at least, latency progressively gets worst at night.

It used to be around 70-80, but I started using my VPN and it dropped it down to 50. I play on PC. And yes, it does fluctuate when I SWF because I only play with people in NA/EU.
Edit: I play on AU servers.
