More hate for console players
Playing against Oni at the coal tower. I have him chase me all the way up to the top while gates get opened. He downs me up there and leaves. Feng gets downed, gets hooked, and yeets herself off the hook while I'm crawling. She gets hooked again and our third person leaves. Just me and Feng.Turns out, hatch spawned next to her hook. I've at this point crawled out the long way around, and am laying on hatch while she struggles all the way down on her timer. I can't save her. No one else is here, but she struggles to the very end so Oni can find and hook me instead of letting me get hatch. Of course she's on console. People who do ######### things like that always seem to be on console. Why is that? Why is it that if you get matched up with someone who's going to screw you over, it's a console player, almost every time?

As a console player, I can't speak for everyone but if I feel like the person who is trying to get the Hatch kind of screwed me/the team over in the process (like they were someone who was hiding towards the end when it was looking hopeless waiting for me to get caught instead since I'd rather get killed doing a gen than hide in the corner), then yeah, I'll hang around on the hook until the bitter end to give the killer the chance to find you and avenge me.
If you were being a good teammate, I'll give up in that situation to try to get you the hatch.
But I can only speak for myself. Maybe the person thought you were being a bad teammate and wanted you punished for it. Maybe they just wanted the survival BP. Maybe it was just instincts and they forgot that no one was around to save them or they were hoping you had Unbreakable and would be getting up to save them. *shrug*

Confirmation bias most likely
Hell, my own experience shows the console survivors actually focus gens better. But I never actually collected data on it, that's just my own impression.

From my experience, no one hates us console players more than BHVR's attempts to optimize this game.

I play on the PC but use a Microsoft 360 controller instead of a mouse and keyboard. That probably makes me the most detestable player of this game.

She isn’t obligated to give you the hatch. She might have really needed the BP from struggling.

More reason to hate entitled PC players. It's only because she didn't let you live, it's because she's also a console player. like was the difference? Would it less aggravating if it was a PC player? It's not add up, stop hating console player just for being on console.

Stuff like this is not limited to console players(I play both PS4 and PC, incidentally). In my experience, at least in solo play, 80% of Survivors are the internet equivalent of Forrest Gump...on a good day.

This is from someone who was on console until mid 2019, console players tend to do gens and hide better than pc players.
So you hating them because you didn't escaped it's just plain dumb.
Don't blame their hardware blame them for bad decisions.

We're not going to have more negativity here against players on another platform - there's good and bad players on ALL platforms.
With regards to the original post, they were probably trying to get all their points - which they are completely entitled to do, nobody needs to work together if they don't wish to and if someone wants to struggle until the very last second, they are well within their rights to do so.
