What about a Killer makes them fun to play for you?

What entertains you about playing a certain Killer, whether it be a certain add on they have, a move they have in their kit, etc.

This is purely just to share what you like about a Killer or Killers in general. :)

I like killers who can snowball quickly, so I love Myers, Twins, Huntress on a good day, etc.

The complexity of their power, so killers like Pig, Oni, Pyramid Head, etc.

I like killers that have a lot of mobility and provide a real threat while having counterplay in a chase if the killer player is good. Blight, Billy, and Oni are perfect examples of that.

I guess Killers that can go ZOOM at the press of a button.

    Wraith, Spirit, Oni, Hillbilly, Legion...

    Not Nurse though.

I like killers like nurse and huntress because they take time and practice to get good with and they're very rewarding to play once you do.

How unique and interesting their power is. One of the countless reasons why Old Freddy was my main for a very long time.

It's very subjective but I need to actually enjoy using their power, this is far more important to me than how strong they are or anything like that.

I find Blight super fun to play for example, so I really like him. Meanwhile I find Spirit's power boring to use, and as a result I don't really like playing her. Obviously extra noticable with 110ms killers where you're expected to use your power extra much, and also the reason I doubt anything will ever dethrone Huntress as my favorite. Hatchets are just a very fun and satisfying power to use.

For killer as a rule, I like that he or she the lone-wolf against the world. And at times, when I'm in control of the game, I like that I get to act as judge and executioner when I see survivors screwing each other over.

As for specific characters, for the top 4 I prefer to play it's usually because a mechanic hits me right or their Aesthetic appeals to me..

For example - as I've stated previously - I like that Doc is evidently enjoying himself given his maniacle laughter. There's also a fact I haven't hidden that madness does run in my family in certain strains on both sides. I have one relative that talks to elves in her tree, yet another who swore her palm tree was an alien that was getting closer to the house each day, and other mental disorders in my family. So his affinity to madness touches me closer than it probably does most people. I sometimes wonder if playing him is my way of embracing my genetic history and just laughing in the face of it with my own maddened giggles.

Oni is a character I have a really hard time being good with... but I love him so much because all my life I had issues with rage and anger (I actually checked myself in for counseling regarding it a couple decades ago). It's a black beast I'm intimently familiar with and have learned to channel safely in my choice of games and music. And playing Oni is one of those ways I let that rage run free safely.

Plague is just a character I like mechanically.

Gunslinger it's 100 percent his aesthetic. I love old rifles like his and I'm overly fond of his duster coat (note to self, replace old duster, I must have one again). His vengeful story and aesthetic fits well with one of my most favorite songs - Gunman by Orden Ogan.

The killer isnt easy and isnt set up based (Trapper and Hag)

So majority of the killers I somewhat enjoy.

    unique mechanics.

i like having a killer that plays different than the rest of the bunch.

thats why im such a fan of Deathslinger, Doctor, Spirit and formerly Trapper.

Killers, specifically male killers, are the more attractive group so I'd want to play as the handsome people & not the uglies. Doesn't matter if they're bad as long as I look good doing it

I enjoy stealth killers because the most annoying part of the game for me is trying to get that first hit. After that survivors tend to be a little more scared and can easily make mistakes because they don't fully focus on what they're doing or where they're going.

My non-stealth main however is Doctor. I enjoy the psychological aspect of his addons. Order makes pallets 50/50 as to whether they're real or not, Discipline causes them to make mistakes due to them thinking I'm right behind them, Restraint gives me information at moments when normally killers would falter without perks. Doctor's kit is loaded with so many passive effects that it almost feels like he has more in his loadout than most killers.

Also I just love making people scream. Its funny (:

I like playing Mikey in tier 1 because it's an infinite stealth mode. No TR, no red stain. Getting the drop on survivors means I get grabs (if grabs worked, RIP), I get to spook them. They can't break me out of stealth (Ghost Face), I don't have to leave stealth mode to attack (Wraith). I can stand menacingly behind a tree watching them and wait until they notice me and are like "oh $%@#!" and run off in a panic. Good times.

I really like stealth killers. Wraith, Spirit, Mikey, Ghost Face, those have been the killers I gravitated towards most.

Otherwise, what makes playing killer fun to me is a rewarding power. You use the power and it works and it's like "Woo!" Getting a hit coming out of Spirit's phase, getting a ranged attack hit with Pyramid Head, getting multiple downs with Bubba. Oh man, back before Nurse's nerf when I was trying to learn her, it felt hella good to land a blink and get a hit. Ooh, man, I miss that. Anyway, using the power is the fun part.

If the game had kill animations like F13 and Home Sweet Home, then those would be fun. Instead, we get hooks, and those are boring. Each killer only has one mori animation and you have to jump through a bunch of hoops to use it. Boo. A game where you kill people and all you're really doing is shoving them on a meat hook, that is immeasurably disappointing.

So, stealth and killer powers. Those are the fun bits.

Killers with interesting powers where they feel powerful but also feel rewarding.

Which is why I love/main Michael.

Well because I hate hate HATE endless looping, this is the primary reason I love playing as Clown. He makes chases fun for me because he eliminates many of my personal frustrations in trying to achieve fast downs.

“Oh, you’re not hiding from me? Guess you’re going down in the next 16 seconds then”

The interactivity between the Killer and the Survivor during a chase.

I find Killers like Nurse, Huntress, Deathslinger, Pyramid Head, Oni & Hillbilly fun to play as and go against, because they're all powerful in the right hands while still offering opportunities for a skilled Survivor to out maneuverer them.

Meanwhile, Killers like Spirit, Clown, Legion, Freddy, Doctor, Hag and Trapper (among others) are a drag. Every time you play against them, they're going to play the same way.

    It's less boring than survivor.
