Where's the key nerf BHVR? Huh? HUH?
Because Mori's have been nerfed twice, and gutted into worthlessness. Keys are still a get out of jail free card that works for your entire team, and is already OP, even more so in SWF hands. It literally requires very little effort on the survivors part, and with comms can be used to ridiculous degress to rob the killer of a pip or two. Even a depip if things are going bad enough. But thats fine right? Take forever to change anything on the surivor side, but take less time to do anything to killer. Because its all about the fun of the game right? And its so much fun for survivors to be able to escape in droves with very little counterplay.

It took almost 4 years for Iri head to be nerfed.
It took 5 years for mori's to be in an acceptable position.
BHVR makes a lot of questionable decisions regarding balance, but saying they are Survivor sided is foolish.

Maybe it'll come out during the Resident Evil chapter so that people are mostly distracted by the new killer, survivor, etc and so there may not be much of an outcry. That's my guess but if not then idk.

Where are all these SWF teams and keys used to get everyone out because I literally play between 3-4 hours a night, every night, and I have yet to see one of these sweaty SWF teams people speak of? I think because a killer main plays against a team a night and it pisses them off they think it is happening a lot more than it really is. I dont mean to downplay you, or your experience but, I have learned this game has its own ebbs and flows. Some days are really good and some days you want to throw your keyboard lol.

Huntress hasn't even been out for 4 years (July 27, 2017 was her release date). So that first part is impossible. Other than that, this is very true.

They are too busy adding completely unnecessary breakable walls to the already strong coldwind maps and nerfing the twins.

I agree that keys should be nerfed but "gutted into worthlessness?" Really? That phrasing makes me think you think they should be game changing. The worth of moris is that you get to see a cool animation and you don't have to hook someone a third time. As offerings, the type of item most often used to increase bloodpoint gain and decide the map, don't you think their effect shouldn't be game changing? From what offerings are available it seems the devs want these to only make slight changes to the upcoming trial unless stacked. (see: fog offerings, chest offerings, luck offerings, hook offerings)
(And yes, I know map offerings can be game changing too, but I'm fairly certain they're not intended to be. They're only game changing because maps are poorly balanced.)

Well the devs recently introduced hatch offerings. So i doubt there will be a key nerf any time soon.

They've literally said they are working on it and implemented Hatch changes in the most recent PTB.
Then, after those changes, they confirmed that those are NOT the Key changes, which are still being worked on.

its a bit harder to nerf the keys tho. If you know what blueprints are, and you know how blueprints can interact with other blueprints, you can see why Mori's can be adjusted relatively easy, while adjusting keys isnt that simple. They already nerfed keys by reducing the time the hatch stays open.

Yeah, they said the key nerfs will come. THEN they introduced hatch offerings.
I mean, they also said something about a early game version of the EGC. Which has been over a year ago and the last time they said something about it, they mentioned that it is now something completely different.
I guess we can take the time it takes until the early game EGC releases, to get an approximate estimation of the key nerf. +- 2 years.

I believe they said they scrapped the early game collapse idea entirely, iirc.
Key nerf is coming. Hopefully, the wait will make it worth it.

Ah yes, because the first mori nerf was equal to keys.
No, the first mori nerf was to be in conjunction with the BNP nerf. BNP and Mori's used to be equals.
After the first mori nerf, keys were the next closest thing, yet the 1 hook requirement per survivor(permanently slowing the game down each time you mori a survivor) vs survivors having to finish at least 4 gens to escape with 3 people still made Mori's much higher priority.
Saying keys are relatively equal to mori's now, is much more true than before the mori nerf.
Dont expect the key nerf to be as massive as the mori nerf, keys are not as strong as you think they are. Annoying? Sure, but they are only powerful in the hands of teams that are already capable of escaping with 3 people without a key. Just as current Mori's are only powerful in the hands of people that can already kill survivors.

I don't even think the problem is keys, but rather how easy they are to obtain. You'll get one at least every few bloodwebs, and they have an incredibly high spawn rate in chests. For being very rare and ultra-rare, it sure was a surprise for survivors to escape through the hatch with a key four games in a row. No Plunderer's.

Could not say it better myself. I played a match last night and Freddy DC'd after about the 4th gen and not being able to hook anyone. Now, I play solo always, I have no team and I highly doubt the other players were part of a team because they were all over the place. Just like some survivor players think killer mains are doing things they shouldn't (camping, tunneling) there are killers who blame bad game play on SWF's.

I started playing this game a few months ago and it is very easy to blame others and get a false sense of how good you "think" you are. A lot of my matches when I was rising to red ranks as a solo survivor were the direct result of other better players. I knew I wasnt that good yet I still blamed killers for me losing. It wasn't them, they were just doing their job and part of the game. I watched videos and learned how to loop (even though I am still not that good at it but getting better). This game can be maddening at times but when you get a good group of other solo players working together it is an awesome thing.

I don't know why it hurts survivor mains so much to admit they are being pandered. Guess it must hurt the fact that killers are the victims and it makes you feel less special.

And Ruin Undying was OP. It definitely didn't need to get nerfed as hard as it did though.

Acceptable position? They are worthless. It takes more time to do a mori then to get someone to a hook. Its not acceptable, its a waste of my bloodweb now. Make them basekit for all killers the way they are now, and thats acceptable. Also I've been playing this game for awhile, and while they aren't as bad as they where, they have buffed survivors in one way and never reverted it or nerfed it. And that is after they changed thier hitboxes to be smaller then killers, and created the exploited (accepted exploits are still exploits) of looping.

It does ignore DS, gives you extra BP and prevents any sort of rescue attempt.
Mori's shouldn't be gamebreakingly powerful like they were before their nerfs. Just like Keys shouldn't be as powerful as they are.

You're just lucky. Some nights it's 1 in 4 matches where these sweat squads appear, and some nights it's 1 in 2.

Undying was nerfed, because survivors apparently can´t be bothered to do something else than gens.
Thats why NOED triggers so often.

old ruin/undying carried a lot of bad killers. Who the (BAD WORD) wants to waste time looking for 4 ruins?? No the new undying is much more balanced.

Old MoM was worse than Undying. Even with Undying+Ruin you could still finish gens. With old MoM, old DS, BT and Adren. It took 7 hits to down someone a 2nd time. Undying could also be cleansed. MoM there was nothing the killer could do about it. It was an extra hit. There was no thing the killer could destroy and remove the perk.
You also have to take into effect survivor perks will be multiplied by 4. There's only 1 undying. There can be up to 4 MoM's.

And no, the old undying ruin didn´t carry bad killers. Because it had only an effect on killers that kept survivors off gens. In other words, killers that didn´t tunnel or camp.
Noticed, how the tunnel and camp threads have been increasing since the undying nerf? Guess why.

yeah because of the DS nerf and it doesn't get used as much so it seems as if killers don't fear it anymore. I still use it cause it's a great perk and it does what's it designed to do.

I´m not sure if you mean, that you still use DS or Undying Ruin.
DS is now doing exactly what survivors claimed they used it for: to prevent tunneling. The survivors that used it before the nerf against tunneling, are still using it. Only the survivors that used DS for other things have dropped it.
If you mean that you still use Undying, may i suggest switching to Thrill or Haunted Grounds? Both are more effective than Undying.
