Weird/Complete Rework Idea for Pig

Hello! I'm a relatively new member of the dbd community, but I've always liked to provide my thought on how to improve things in my strange perspective. The Pig could be made better with some buffs to how the bear trap or ambush work, but I think a complete overhaul might provide a better sense of stress/panic/sacrifice that the SAW series entails.

Jigsaw's Baptism

Jigsaw Boxes

One Survivor must operate a Jigsaw Box in order for other Survivors to repair Generators.

A Survivor is immobilized and incapacitated while operating a Jigsaw Box.

Attacking the Survivor will free the Survivor and disable the Jigsaw Box for a while

A disabled  Jigsaw Box cannot be interacted with

Generator repair speeds are increased.

Special Ability: Ambush

Press and Hold the active Ability Button to ambush a Survivor

On a successful Ambush, a Reverse Bear Trap is placed on their head and this skill goes on a 90-second cooldown

 Reverse Bear Trap

Reverse Bear Traps initiate a countdown timer displayed on the Survivor’s Status icon.

Repairing generators accelerate the timer, and once it expires, the  Reverse Bear  Trap will automatically sacrifice the Survivor wearing it.

The countdown timer is paused whenever the Survivor is being chased by The Pig or is in the Dying State.

A Survivor uses a Jigsaw Box to remove their Reverse Bear Trap instead of operating it, disabling it for a while.

Power Trivia

Generator repair speeds have been increased by 33%

A Jigsaw Box is disabled for 45 seconds

Ambush

  • Ambush takes 1 second to fully charge.
  • Ambush must be charged to at least 65 %, otherwise, The Pig will perform a normal Lunge instead.
  • Canceling a fully charged Ambush results in a cool-down of 0.45 seconds, during this time The Pig cannot interact or attack.

Ambush boosts The Pig's Movement speed to 460 % or 18.4 m/s, for a maximum distance of 11 meters.

Ambush Missed Hit cool-down: 2 seconds.

Ambush Successful Hit cool-down: 4 seconds.

Reverse Bear Trap Timer duration: 150 seconds by default

Timer rate increased by 200% when Repairing a Generator

Interacting with a Jigsaw Box will trigger has a chance of 20% to trigger Skill Checks each second

Using the Jigsaw Box to remove their Reverse Bear Trap will take 16 seconds to complete.

So this Rework focus on the Jigsaw box rather than the RBT, forcing Survivors to incapacitate one of their own in order to make progress. The increased gen speeds are to compensate for the Suviors being a man down all the time, and also works to help The Pig with "chase", giving her a Survivor that she can reliably ambush/hit.

She no longer has a stealth ability and has her Ambush dash and RBT fused together. The pig no longer has to down a Survivor to attach her RBTs and is now sorta a Demogorgon/Doctor Shred/Static blast ability. The amount of RBTs she brings to a trial is dependant on a cool down, so a 12-minute trial could have her attach around 6-7 RBTs over time.

There is no longer an active or inactive state, and the RBT beings to wind down immediately. There is no longer any RNG in unlocking the RBT, but The Pig can get multiple Jigsaw Boxes disabled with enough pressure, making it harder for a survivor to unlock their RBT.

So the Survivors gambit boils down to this.

If you have an RBT, you can't operate a Jigsaw Box, so you are forced to Work on Gens (or Heal, Sabatouge, break Totems ) or desperately find a Jigsaw Box to unlock the RBT that isn't disabled or has somebody operating it.

So what do you think of my wacky rework idea? I'm ready to answer any questions or receive harsh critisims

I don’t think pig needs a total rework, she just needs some buffs. But your idea is very interesting and might be good for her though. :)

A power based around pressure seems really cool.

Notably, it isn't really an "Ambush" if survivors can see it coming from a mile away, so you might want to change the name.
