Am I using these perks wrong?

I've noticed that I don't use perks as they were intended to be used. I use some of them in a completely different way.

Borrow Time: I don't use it to save my teammate. I use it to save myself when the killer sees me going for the save.

Any Means Necessary: I don't really use it to pick up pallets. I use it to either get the killer's attention at the start of the match or to farm Blood Points.

Decisive Strike: I don't run it to use it. I run it because it is almost impossible to play the game without an obsession nowadays. Because no one uses DS anymore.

Deliverance: I use it to extend a chase. Not to unhook myself safely.

Prove Thyself: I don't use it for extra gen-speed. I use it to get BP faster so I can do other things in a trial.

I know that some of these are also very common usages from other people. If you have any weird way of using a perk. Don't be shy, and let us know :)

How do you use Borrowed to save yourself? Hoping that Teammates bodyblock you when you're injured after unhooking? I don't see another possibility.

ANM I use it for free Boldness Points as well and is included in my Survivor Farm Build as well as Prove Thyself.

DS as well. If I use it (which happens once in 100 matches) I use it as an insurance against tunneling and so that there is an Obsession in a match.

Deliverance I never use unless I get it via rdm. Perks. I just don't like Perks which are potenially rendered useless and Deliverance is such a Perk. If you are found first, it's a wasted Perk slot.

I manage to hide inside my unhooked teammate. And 3 out of 5 times, it works.
