New Archives Feature & Totem Counter HUD Idea

So I spent way too much time messing up this simple design, so this took me way longer to make than I wanted it to, but I think these two new features would help the game so much and would actually compliment the HUD change that no one wanted in the first place.

The totem counter is a simple feature that could easily be implemented into the game, and it would really help solo queue players. But, the feature I mostly want is an Archives challenge tracker. I'm a PS5 player so I'm not sure what button would work best for PC, but lets say that you can use left on the D-Pad to open up your available challenges. This is a toggle button so you can keep it up as long as you want, and even be able to track your progress on a challenge that requires you to be in a chase, without really obstructing your vision. Essentially, you should be able to keep track of your selected challenges, while also being able to complete up to 3 in one game. This would immensely reduce the Rift grind since that is one of the biggest complaints that I hear about the Archives, and I agree with those people as well. If this feature was added into the game, I would honestly love doing the challenges again and would actually care about the Archives as a whole.

Let me know what you guys think! And by the way, the Devs should just get rid of that useless hook indicator for Killers and like Survivors can, give us the ability to see how many hooks each Survivor has. That's why I didn't consider the hook indicator to fit in with this design.

This is so nice! I'm not happy to know that they take these kinds of features that should be basekit and make them into perks (Small Game rework). The archives thing would be so goddamn helpful.

Thank you! I'm really hoping they add something like this to the game to reduce the 8000 hour long archives grind and so that we can remember what challenge we equipped since I always forget lol. I also wasn't too happy with the totem counter being tied to a perk either but let's just hope that they someday add it

    Honestly, I'd digging the mock-up.

If I was going to change anything, I'd probably just swap where the totem counter and challenge tracker are located on your example. That would put totems next to gens as a "secondary objective", while the tracker's box would block less important screen-space (while open) if pushed towards the bottom edge of the HUD.

Thanks for the advice, I tried having the totem counter next to the gen count but it looked kinda weird to me since there were two big numbers right next to each other. I guess i wanted a bit of contrast but I'll try messing around with it a bit more!

Maybe the totem counter could get that information across through an alternate visual besides giant numbers? That might reduce the weirdness.

(It's a really rough example that I threw together in like two minutes with Word, but it should convey the idea).

Whatever they do with a totem indicator though (if they ever add one in this way), I just hope they have it change to an icon of a broken totem once no bones are left standing.

Oh yeah that design would be way more unique than a number. But yeah, I do hope if they add a totem counter, it has a bit more design than just a number since the generator count already has that
