Mettle of Man might be the biggest issue with perk tiers
Now then we all know how much easier it would be to balance dbd if we just...removed perk tiers (I’m pretty sure this would make everyone happy as this reduces the grind by alot and makes the game more new player friendly)
However another thread on here made me realize that Mettle of Man has a giant issue preventing it from being buffed, its perk tiers
Mettle of Man has a really dumb punishment towards using it, being your aura reveal after healing for a set amount of meters, the issue? This was intended for the old Mettle of Man, not the new one, and due to several flawed issues with removing just the aura reveal, I think we are better off with just flat out removing perk tiers from all perks.
(The issues with removing the aura with MoM is due to the fact that you would need to increase the total amount of hits required for MoM or giving it a different effect, in which nobody wants)
My 2 main reasons on why I want perk tiers removed is because of dbd’s grind and because of perk balancing, overall I feel like if they were to go away the game would be more friendly to newer players, whilst not punishing the older players
And if we wanna give the older players who dealt with this a reward, I would say everyone before the PTB for this change to be tested be granted enough shards for 1 character, to either get a new character, get a new cosmetic, or get perks from the shrine. On said PTB for this change I would recommend it happen on a PtB where a new survivor and killer are being tested, while giving the testers 500k BP (kinda like the PTB for the ingame shop where they gave them cells) to test this out
I know this might get moved to feedback but I wanna hear opinions on this as if this was to ever happen, DBD’s health balance wise would improve immensely

If they did remove aura from MOM they would prob just do something like plus 50/75/100% bp in altruism category

That sounds like a very BHVR thing to do, just so they could avoid making the grind easier

It's all they really can do now since they removed deep wounds from perk tiers. I wouldn't be opposed, though I would appreciate MoM getting another effect, particularly one relating to being the obsession. We need more perks like that.
