Repressed Alliance underrated?
I've been running Detective's Hunch since those trying times of pre-nerf Undying and stuck with it since, but after watching some videos I got the desire to change. I tried using RA in the last few games instead and have been impressed by the results.
The most obvious use is to counter PGTW and it's excellent on that. If the killer sticks for too long to regress the gen, they lose a lot of map pressure. RA is also invaluable against Ruin tho as High mobility killers will not stick on a chase for too long before having to leave to patrol other gens.
The most underrated aspect of the perk, however, is the aura reveal to teammates. If the killer sticks on a chase with you, the team will know which gen is the highest priority and move there to finish. IMO, the perk is becoming invaluable to me.
What do you guys think of it?

RA is... good... but like... it's one of those perks that honestly doesn't have a reason to be used in many games. At least, not in my experience. Maybe I would feel differently about it if I played with it more often than the couple of matches I played with it when the Silent Hill chapter came out.
I CAN think of many games where RA absolutely would have saved/won the game for us, but many, many more games where another perk just came more in clutch to warrant taking that one off for RA.
If RA gave you an option to end gen blocking early if you were the one to place it on the gen, then I might actually consider taking it over perks that I personally find more helpful (I run BT/IW/Deliverance/DS. I'd love to take DS off but I feel like it goes hand in hand with Deliverance, especially after the DS nerf). It feels like there are a lot of times where RA lasts just a little bit too long and ends up helping to screw you over instead of help, especially if you get chased away from the gen and someone comes up to it very shortly and still has to wait 20 more seconds before they finish it.
As a side note, I figure that part of the reason that Pop got a timer nerf was due to this perk- of course not the entire reason, but it would be insensible to make RA even longer than it already is, and yet Pop being 60s made it virtually useless- just go finish another chase, come back to pop the gen, and then go and hook their latest down, ready to Pop again LOL

This is a decent perk that can sometimes save the day but it's actually a strong tournament perk imo

It's one of the coolest perks in the game but it's hard to find a spot for it in builds when 1-2 of your perk slots are going to tunnel/camp insurance (BT/DS), 1 is probably going to information in solo queue, and 1 is probably going to exhaustion :(
Also the activation time is tuned too high imo. If it was 30 or 40 seconds it would probably see more use.

I love it. It's very satisfying to deny a killer their PGTW.

I had the same feeling about it but had an open spot so I decided to try. I running DH, IW, WGLF, RA at the moment.
RA puts the killer in a tough situation on waiting to use PGTW or using it in another gen. If they stick to a chase with me, guiding them away so that the team can finish becomes easy. Another good use is when you have to leave the gen for a rescue or something and ruin is active.
This perk is kinda like a gen insurance, but versatile against most killer regression mechanics at the moment.
If anything if you troll your teammates by blocking their gen and proceed to teabag on you way out XD
The activation requirement is kinda steep, NGL. But I can get it consistently twice in a match unless the killer finds me first and tunnel/camp until dead.

The last time I used RA, I got camped and tunneled for “denying the killer’s PGTW”. I don’t wanna go through that again. NGL, tho, it is fun to use.

One of my favorites. It works with my anti-Ruin-Undying build flawlessly: Better Together, Spine Chill, Soul Guard, and Repressed Alliance.

Repressed Alliance is probably what led to the Pop nerf. When it came out, PGTW was still sixty seconds and I don’t think they wanted to increase RA to 60.

Thank you for making my day XD
On a similar vibe, I was using Saboteur on CD for BP only a few months ago and a Claudette happened to go down nearby as I got the ability ready. The trapper coincidentally brought her to the hook beside my gen so I sabotaged it. That guy got infuriated. He proceeded to follow me across the whole map and after he hooked me, laid down every single trap in the vicinities around the access points to my hook while keeping himself inside with me. The following 2 minutes were a mix of hitting me and shooing other survivors away.
10/10 would do it again. :D
