Fellow survivors, please don't unhook in the TR without BT

I haven't played DbD in a while, came back to it tonight and decided to warm up with some survivor games. Played maybe 5 or 6 games, of those games, 3 of them saw a survivor unhooking me multiple times while in the TR and they did not have BT. No shade at them, they may have thought they could get me unhooked in time and take aggro from the killer, unfortunately, the killers were in a tunneling mood this evening (I get it, I honestly do, I'm not salty about getting tunneled)

So I died multiple times mostly due to a teammate unhooking me while the killer was super close.

Just a friendly reminder to try and be conscientious of where the killer is when you're going for a risky unhook.

Good luck in your Games everyone :)

I've had both and to be honest they're equally annoying. Sitting there on the hook being face-camped is really not much fun. At the same time, I've been getting saved by a LOT of players who either don't notice or don't care that the killer is RIGHT behind them. Even if I AM the one who gets away once the unhooking completes, it's not as if the killer isn't going to come straight for me next, just a couple of seconds behind me.

I mentioned in another thread that I wish there was an "NO!" button which would trigger an animation like sweeping your hands past each other to signify "I appreciate it but no, this isn't the time".

True, but I expect everyone running it after the buff goes live for those guaranteed safe hook rescue points

What @GoodBoyKaru said. If you're grabbing someone 3 seconds after they were hooked, then, obviously that's bad. But, if the choice is try to grab them or let them go to second stage, I'll try to grab without BT.

Absolutely, there are definitely circumstances where you might as well try to unhook even if the killer is nearby. I should've been more detailed in my initial post. I was on first hook, not even a quarter way down the hook meter. There was no reason I could think of that the survivors should've unhooked me if they're in chase or they hear the TR near the hook.

Really doesn't matter anymore. Once this update comes out BT will always activate no matter what.

Also please, don't Hook Bomb just because you have BT. Have BT as a safety net incase the Killer comes back. I don't want the killer to hook me and then you instantly there unhooking and possibly getting downed yourself.

Me hooking a survivor -> me breaking a nearby pallet or wall and/or using PGTW on a nearby gen -> me getting my ass elsewhere -> me going back to the hook because:

    1. Someone run in front of me for a save
    2. Survivor get rescued while still being in my TR/as I get away.

What do you think I'm gonna do if I don't have a mobility killer?

It's actually worth unhooking before they reach another hook state tho.

That's not what we're talking about. People are unhooking after 10 or 20s after the survivor got hook and you have 60s for each stages.

Absolutely, I'm not laying any blame on killer. If I was playing killer, I'd do the same. I just wish survivors would think before going for a risky unhook (depending on the circumstances of course)
