Kill Switch update: The issue affecting Baermar Uraz's Ugly Sweater has been fixed and the cosmetic has been reenabled in all queues with this update.

Why is there so many toxic Pig players.

This isn't a hate post, but how come the majority of Pig mains are toxic? Almost every game I get with a Pig, I either get tunneled, face-camped, slash repeatedly on hook, or they nod their heads at me after downing me.

I don't ever teabag them, click at them with flashlights, repeatedly stun them, or play in any toxic way toward them.

A lot of them just play scummy and I don't know why. This isn't a hate post to people who play Pig in general, but one to the Pig mains who play scummy and sometimes make playing her their entire personality, (Aka, Pig main streamers).

I wouldn't call a majority of Pig players toxic -- it sounds like you've just had a run against a bad group of Pig who give those of us who don't play that way a bad name.

When I play survivor, I've gone against "toxic" Pig players, but no more so than any other killer (and far few than many other killers). Out of killers most likely to meme with, I've had more matches with Pigs who played that way than all of the other killers combined.

ETA: I had said that I was sympathetic for your bad experiences, but since you can't help but generalize about a whole group of players, you can get your sympathy from the world's smallest violin instead.

I mean, I rarely see a pig. However, the last 3 pigs I remember put a trap on the first survivor, camped near the hook, and tunneled them whenever they got unhooked. So I guess this does pan out with my experience.

I absolutely agree with you; comparing Pig to Leatherface is very accurate.

Ironic that you say that with a hag profile picture, a killer who whenever is played, can trap hooked survivors and effectively camp.

Considering that you're attacking the killer they play instead of discussing the actual topic here, you're proving that the majority of pig mains are toxic. It's well known throughout the entire Dbd community that there's a lot of Pig players who play very scummy every game.

I'd rather go against fifty hags than a single Pig because there's a 90% chance they will tunnel me off-hook and camp my body for the rest of the game for no reason at all.

Tunneling and camping isn’t toxic it’s just a play style whether it’s boring to go against or not.

I haven't found Pig anymore toxic than any other Killer. For the longest time I never got out alive against Pig; now I do. It is just time in grade.

How long have you played Dbd? Because yes, tunneling and camping are considered playstyles, but they are both extremely toxic. I can understand camping or tunneling at the end of the game for a last resort, But, playing the game just to camp and tunnel every match is most definitely toxic.

Plus, I mentioned that Pig mains are prone to head nodding and hook slashing because they play scummy and can't handle being outplayed the majority of the time.

That’s not toxic that’s just having an ego. Those are two completely different things. Toxic would be holding another player’s game hostage or actually saying some offensive things in the end game chat. I hate playing against tunnelers and campers just as much as everyone else but it’s not toxic at all.

shes one of those killers that encourage scummy gameplay. tunnel the person with the trap and make sure they die. thats why whenever i see jigsaw boxes i hide cause i dont want to turn myself into a tunnel magnet. ill tell you how my average pig game goes:

i get found, loop her for 2 minutes (even though giving up would be way more efficient than continuing chasing me), eventually i go down and get hooked with a trap, she proxy camps me, i get unhooked and then tunneled off hook, i ds her but not like that really matters cuz she just eats it and continues tunneling me and eventually i die.

I'd said earlier in the thread I was sympathetic for your bad experiences, but it's hard to be so if you're going to continue to paint everyone who plays a certain character with the same brush. It would be like the people who claim every survivor that plays the game is toxic because of a bad experience with a SWF group -- saying so would not be factual and would not be productive.

I've run into far more facecamping, "toxic" Leatherfaces than I have any other killer, and definitely more than Pig players. I've had really bad experiences with Freddies and GF's as well. Yet, I won't claim almost everyone who plays thise characters is toxic. I've had a GF meme with teabags and farm for a whole match, and more than one Leatherface and Freddy give me a hatch as the last survivor. The game is not one size fits all -- your experience is exactly that, not some universal truth.

definitely in a minority, there are so little pig mains and I can assure you most of them are not toxic.

I'm sorry your matchmaking is so #########

Sorry but that only works for a few Pig players... Apparently

If I am crouched then by all means... but will still hit you after (cause your the only one I see)

I leave the person with the trap on alone, unless i happen to come across them in my travels. Then I'll hit them and move on. It defeats the purpose of the trap to follow a trapped survivor

Would would having 3 survivors left and knowing 2 of the survivors are in a swf on coms and keep rushing saves and trying to blind me and me wounding one before hooking the other and me camping the hooked by proxy crouching with one gen left be considered scummy or smart playing and adapting (also I got the last survivor going in for the save as well lol)

Please explain how this 1 post made by 1 person proving the majority of pig players are toxic. A majority must be 51% or more. How is 1 player 51%?

Booping the snoot doesn't work ;-; I'd say of the last 10 pigs I faced only 1 actually was kinder for it, the other 9 just seemed to take it as a form of mockery and I regularly get tunneled out first.

It's very sad. Sometimes in post game I'll get excited about being able to boop them, I mostly get a neutral comment like "So you did."

It's fine with me though, I boop it not for the pig but for my own satisfaction. I got what I came for, the hook doesn't undo the boop.

Hope I run into you in a game someday. Boops with me always mean you live. 🙂 I'm always happy to see someone who's willing to Boop and reward them for it.

Toxicity is subjective, but it's usually defined as any malicious action used with the intention to deal damage to another person.

Toxic behavior isn't always punishable since the EULA sets the standard for whatever is acceptable in the game, as well as the game guidelines you agreed to upon playing the game.

While something such as t-bagging is toxic, it's not something the developers punish. Toxicity isn't just limited to things that the developers choose to punish.

No, pig players are generaly nice, some of them let you boop the snoot.

The toxic ones are Bubba mains.

That's what I do as piggy too. I don't understand pigs that tunnel me when I have an active trap on to the point I die on the hook. I sometimes slug those with a trap on their head that's been on hook before because when I hook them they sometimes kill themselves but they dc when they get slugged.

I'm a Survivor main, but I like playing as The Pig just for the boops so there's no toxicity from me.

The ones I've come across vary - they're not all campy and tunnely. I remember when I was still semi-new a Pig gave me hatch and I've never forgotten her.

I think there's just Killers that tunnel and camp and there's ones that don't. I don't think I could generalize one Killer over the others. I am sorry if that does happen to you a lot - I know it's not fun.

While I believe all of this, I personally have never encountered such a thing. I don't have any particular issue with Pig players.

It's the way Pig's kit is designed - Entire thing from power to perks encourages tunneling and camping. Thematically it is appropriate but the entire kit encourages unfun gameplay. Pig excels when they play unfun for survivors but again not exactly a fun killer to verse. Pretty much the same as how Hag is designed to camp an area which yes includes a hooked survivor.

I rarely see pigs with this play-style and if they do play like that then I assume it's the player's play-style and the fact they were playing pig has nothing to do with it. Actually the scummiest killers I come into contact with are hags, they always seem to mercilessly camp, tunnel and slug, and don't even get me started on hag players that put on Midwich offerings and use the rusty shackles add-on.

  • danielmaster87
    danielmaster87 Member Posts: 9,918

Those Hags who place 3-5 traps around a hook are just bad. Survivors can crouch through all of them, and the Hag will have wasted all that extra time for nothing. All you need to beat Hag is to have someone harassing her and tripping her traps. But since solos turn their brain off, you usually don't see that.
