Toolboxes
Hello fellow people of the mist!
I've come across a few threads mentioning the proper use of toolboxes, or the proper moment to use them.
Can anyone please explain to me what this means? Are there any moments where using your toolbox would be the more efficient than others?
Thanks in advance!

One Example would be, if the Killer has Tinkerer, it makes more sense to use the Toolbox when Tinkerer triggered - this way you have a higher chance of completing the Gen before the Killer arrives.
Another example would be to use Toolboxes on the last Gen instead of one of the early Gens. The first Gen(s) of the game are the easiest, every Survivor is alive, the Killer has low Map Pressure and all ressources (Pallets) are still on the Map. In the Lategame, the Killer might have a lot of pressure, Survivors are on Death Hook or even dead and there might be a lot of Deadzones. So it makes more sense to save the Toolbox until this point, to make repairing the harder to repair Gens (aka the last Gen) faster.

That makes sense, isn't really rocket science either now that I think of it. Thank you for taking time to help a noob out 😍

Killer: Force a 3gen
Survivor: All four with unused BNP
Killer: Oh ok gg I guess.

I wouldn't use a toolbox.... there's an exaggeration of "gen rushing going round" 😳

I personally like to use toolboxes for saving survivors. This is mainly because I don't bring toolboxes in, so when do I find them I like to use them to sabo hooks. I only sabo though if I know that's where the killer is going. I've gotten quite a few saves that way

When medkits exist toolboxes are obsolete

Depends on all 4 survivors being:
A - Alive
B - Coordinated
C - Not being chased by the killer.
D - Having brought no other Items
E - Having an Ultra rare addon.

It's a pretty good way to tell if a group knows what they're doing, imo.
If I see a lobby of toolboxes and two gens pop before I can do anything, I usually laugh and breath a sigh of relief.
