Hangman's Trick Isn't Funny
There are hooks all over the map. Killer's shouldn't be able to see me just because I'm near one.
Once killer's realize how good this perk is i'm uninstalling. Pls nerf.

This a new one I have never seen a complaint about hangman’s trick ever. People rarely use it.

Hangman's trick is better than BBQ for tracking.

You do realize that it's only active when the killer has a survivor on their shoulders... And killers can't spend a lot of time looking around when they have to hook the survivor they have... And it's only 4m (I think)

Tbh I agree, I don't find the perk funny either. Could at least tell a joke or something but nope it just sits there. Doing nothing. As always.

You do realize that it has an absolutely terrible range, right? 6m is not very far and consequently Hangman's Trick just isn't very strong. Now the PTB version of it was... actually it was very strong but still not like... super broke. It used to have 16m of range and it was kind of like a different version of BBQ.

Hangman's trick was nerfed to oblivion before it even went live. Now it's extremely rare to see a survivors aura unless they are actively sabotaging.
Edit: The reworked version, that is to say. The OG version was even worse.

It's basically BBQ but better. Seeing the auras of all survivors if they're near hooks while picking one up. Pls nerf.

Hooks don't spawn close enough to generators for the distance to reach, good survivors are usually on generators if you focus on another survivor.
I use Hangman's Trick and Thrilling Tremors if I feel like going easy on some Red Ranks while I slug, pick em up, do a spin and drop em.
Lets you know what gens are being worked on and if anyone is not doing gens with an aura.
The perk is still a wasted slot however and shouldn't be used seriously.
You'd just be shooting yourself in the foot by not using something similar but better in every way like Thrilling Tremors or BBQ&Chilli.

The OG version was better then current hangman trick at least it could respawn hook regardless if a survivor was sacrificed on it which is why a ran the perk.
They should buff the metre range to 10 and add back the ability to respawn hook regardless

Can someone actually confirm to me whether Hangman's Trick can actually detect someone above you when you are in the basement? Because I could swear from one instance of me testing it that the answer is no, which would be hilariously sad, but at the same time, it's possible that the Survivor only juuust entered the range of Hangman's Trick right after I hooked someone else.

Grants you the ability to mark one survivor. This survivor is permanently exposed and, if not sacrificed to the Entity within 120/100/80 seconds, will be forcibly disconnected from the trial.
You are immune from sacrifice.
