Why is Clown 4.6m/s?
It makes no sense, he is a projectile killer that slows survivors down and all the projectile killers are 4.4m/s.
He isn't even slowed down when holding his bottle. He also had a bottle that speeds him up. He is also a 69420 year old obese old man
I just don't get it

Him m2 power gives you hit? No? That is answer.

No, the killers who are 4.4 m/s are killers whose default power (so Corrupt Purge doesn't count) can actually down survivors and is ranged. Both have to be true for the killer to be 4.4 m/s. The only exception so far is PH, but his ranged attack has a very short range.

Because his bottles don't damage people. It wouldn't make sense balance wise to actually slow him down to 4.4. If they slowed him down to 4.4 he would be pushed back to D tier like he was before his first buff. The thing is, is that Clown needs a perfectly timed and calculated bottle/bottles to get a hit. If you put yourself out of position against a clown that is actually god tier then there is nothing you can do. Trickster/Huntress/Deathslinger all injure people with their ranged attacks. Clown doesn't he has to m1.

Whilst technically he's ranged from the point of view that he throws a projectile - that projectile doesn't injure survivors in anyway. I really don't think that Clown needs to be slowed down to 4.4m/s, although his bottles of gas can slow the survivors making him 4.4 would probably require some sort of buff to his power as a result.

Clown isn't a ranged killer, he's an M1 killer that hits survivors with the help of his bottles. Trickster is 4.4m/s because he can hit survivors with his knives from across the map, and Plague is 4.6m/s because her corrupt purge has a range limit.

If you're telling me that slowing people down at no expense of yourself DOESN'T give you hits, then you're not just a bad Clown. You just suck at killer.

Clown is already a weak killer now you’re just making him completely unplayable by doing this lol.

100% in agreement.
He never needed a buff. His bottles have zero counter.
"jUsT dOnT gO iN tHe GaS" Sure... I'll just go into the dead zones then. That'll surely work!

He does have counters though. After 1k+ hours on Clown I can tell you the most simplest way to counter Clown. Run strong tiles, and fake out the player by pretending that you are staying at the tile and just leave. If you have a few tiles that can link together right next to each other just keep running the windows. The strongest teams I've gone against have done this, and I have lost due to it. People who sit around at bad pallets and pre drop and camp are going to get hit. People who mindgame and chain windows together can pose a serious threat.

That's not what they were saying at all. They were saying that the bottles don't injure Survivors.

I'll partially agree and say that strong tiles can help delay the Clown a bit. But, after having it done against me, I've started using "I'm All Ears" on Clown and it just ruins that whole plan.

If there is a few windows right next to each other it completely destroys him. Groaning storehouse also completely ruins clown just due to the fact that if they get the good window set up. Even if you do a yellow into pink set up you're more than likely not catching them. Same with all the braindead loops. It's pretty funny, because I down people a lot fast with trickster than I do with Clown now on good set ups. Even with I'm all ears it can still be a bit rough if the person is consistent.

The point is that they grant hits with no strings attached aside from accuracy. Same goes for hatchets and knives. Hell, knives don't injure people right away either. Most of the time, I get hits as Clown sooner after tossing bottles than I do as Trickster after tossing my first direct hit knife.

Slowing people is not hit. You can still dodge him. You can use pallet early. Also you can leave gas area.

Hitting a Survivor with a bottle does not injure them. Ever.
1 -
After rank 10... You cannot "dodge" people.
Using a pallet early means that disposable resources are used up early on, making the mid/late game full of dead zones... against a killer that can lower your movement speed.
Leaving the gas area doesn't just turn off the slowness. You remain slow for a while as long as you touched the gas at any point.

Never once have I said that it does.
Please re-read the post before using your brain to try and autocomplete it.

And the person you initially replied to said what I am saying. Practice what you preach. :P

Then use mind games. You just need to out him from bottles. When he use them, he is reloading slowly. So you will have chance against him. Clown is easiest killer for mindgames. He have to hit you with m1, so use that to advantage.

This is the first time I've heard someone saying he has no counter.

No expense? Well wraith had no expense for going invisible, trapper doesn't get stunned or have his location revealed for setting traps, hell huntress doesn't lose much for throwing a hatchet. Except they all do and you're biased. A clown has to throw their bottle into an area where the survivor will be going or else they have one less bottle before having to reload, something that takes a long time and severely reduces the speed of the clown while doing so.
Also no it DOESN'T give you hits, if you throw a bottle at a survivor far away it won't do much, if you're chasing them specifically they can easily dodge the bottle, or if they do get hit you're just gonna get closer. Now in actual chase being close up you're complaining that a killer is using their power? The entire point is to slow you down but he'll only get hits if you actively mess up. Maybe try throwing the pallet a bit early against clown instead of complaining on the forums.
