Can we be given the option to choose how to struggle?

While I do think it was a good change for the people who need it, I preferred using my scrollwheel. I could just avoid looking at my screen or just straight up close my eyes.

Additionally this new method raises the problem that I can't give up on hook when I want to (ignoring the fact that the skillcheck method is bugged right now, even if it worked properly it takes way too long to die, It gives someone enough time to run from the other side of the map and save you in games you don't / can't play). Or at least make it so you get a skillcheck immediately after entering the struggle stage that if you miss you just die.

Given you can't DC freely anymore, I think an option to get out quick is needed.

Also this is not an invitation to discuss the morals of dying on hook early in game I don't care to engage in that

    The skill check works fine

    Its the same dying time to me

    Closing your eyes or do something else ? i mean come on... you can see where every survivor is, killer most of the time too, and you get time to think of your next move.

    DC ?!!!!!! Pathetic.

    Alot of survivor are tbagging, clicking, nonsense, saying EZ when they win but when they lose they dont say a word, they DC (with punishment) and suicide on hook. AND YOU want to make that even more easier ?

    You just got a lazy brain :D

    Like you, I'm already missing my struggle macro so I could just do whatever while waiting for rescue or to die. And of course the 'I don't want to be in this match any longer/No, you will not hook farm me' option.

    I mean i dont think its as bad as you say and i dont agree with the dcing. Skill checks dont lag anymore but i also dont think the option will hurt.

    I'm pretty sure the dev's never intended for people to kill themselves on hook as a way to bypass the 5 minute ban timer, so using that as an excuse to be able to toggle skill checks on hook is dumb. And the devs have stated before that they want the struggle state on hook to be interactive (something along the lines of that) so being able to just use a scroll wheel to catch a break is also a bad excuse to bring it back.

    I'm gonna add something not for the gentlepeople in this thread that I do not care to start a conversation with but in case the stray dev / mod wanders in here:

    I have emetophobia. I'm on meds that make me nauseous all the time. I can't play against Plague. Used to be I could just die on hook and end it there. Now I'm almost forced in. BUT REGARDLESS nobody should be forced to stay in a game longer than they want to, it is a game and it is supposed to be fun, if you're not having fun you should have a way out without having some random rescue you on hook because dying is so slow currently
