Why did they go live with lucky break?
this lucky break change is the worst thing BHVR has dropped recently, im not a killer main but as someone who plays mostly survivor, when I run lucky break with iron will and the killer hits me, then I force a pallet break and then ######### off and the killer cannot find me because I am giving no indicator as to where I am? whats the counter play? the killer loses everytime and they cannot do a single thing about it unless they want to dedicate an entire perk slot to using stridor, seriously BHVR ######### up hard with this one and I know it won't get patched out for at least another 2 weeks at the MINIMUM. I want the devs to know im going to be running lucky break iron will every game and also trying to run SWF where we all run this perk because it is that abusable.
what the ######### BHVR

45s makes it literally garbage. I can't believe people are upset about 45 seconds when goes by so fast. Unbelievable.

I agree the lucky break change isn’t good for the game, it used to be my favorite perk before the buff. I used it with Poised, Dark Sense, and Iron Will. 180 seconds is a lot of time, and if your injured and a gen gets popped during a chase, poised and lucky break value along with the aura reading from dark sense, saved my ass many times.

WHAT THE ######### ARE YOU ON ABOUT? I can force a pallet break in less than 10s and then boom the killer can't find me anymore

I’m 100% a killer main and with the time nerf lucky break got I think it’ll be fine. Outside of a quick and quiet inner strength gimmick build you’ll only get 1 use out of it IF you get hit somewhere you can easily break LOS. And on top of that if the killer is wraith, legion, bubba, a pissed off oni, billy, etc. the perk won’t do too much. It’s a niche perk that once a trial will give you the chance to go ninja mode and escape a chase. And with a 45 second duration that one chance is all you’re gonna get. So I’m happy

Just a guess but the med-kit and do it 2-4 times option ain't their no more.

With the timer being at 45 seconds now, it is much more manageable. It requires 2 perks combined together in order to basically give yourself 1 extra health state in the game and isn't even guaranteed to work. Now dead hard for distance on the other hand....
Also, i'm a killer main with almost 2k hours. Lucky break is fine now.

I didn't see it yet in any match. Survivors love their broken meta too much to use this perk i guess. I have seen only a few running small game in swf and totems getting destroyed really fast, devour hope is rip. I didn't get to use it a single time not even for the 3 tokens the whole night.

Ik. The first time I used lucky break and iron will I got a spirit (lucky me) after I got hit I got away easily. But when I got away I had 3 seconds left in my timer.
I had to play the rest with 3 perks.

While I do agree with you personally (especially since I’m addicted to sloppy butcher) I think the complaint people mainly have is that the killers who have to commit to a chase early could potentially have all early game pressure negated by this perk. And especially against good survivors this could end the match before it even really starts.

ya I figured that would happen. Already hard enough to use hexes with their Fisher price totem placements, have to run undying to get one life on them which barely helps, and now there is a super totem killer perk as if hunch wasn't strong enough. They could have fixed the totem spots with this small game buff.

halved the duration so it isnt much of an issue anymore imo

Or maybe because Lucky Break is a subpar niche perk which is overshadowed by other perks because the Developers don't want to shake up the meta for survivors. You get more of an impact out of literally every other perk which doesn't have a timer. Imo I'm not wanting to play the match with only 3 perks once Lucky Break runs out. That and the potential benefit of running the perk is outweighed by the negatives of the short timer.
People just complain about anything that has the potential to be meta changing and then in the same breath complain about how the meta never changes.
Personally I'd take shaking up the meta for survivors since the risk reward potential is crazy. Or made it just not 45 seconds since its just laughable.

This is a bad time to run totems. Just don't. Every survivor is trying out Small Game because it was buffed. Like what? You think it's OP? Lol.
As for Lucky Break, I have yet to see anything on it. I doubt it's op or even meta albeit probably a good perk.

45 seconds / pretty much a 1 time use perk that has to be combined with Iron Will and you're complaining?
Adapt.

I already miss the old Lucky Break.

We as killers are used to play with 2 or 3 perks if we run totems. I don't think the timer of lucky is unfair, you should not be supposed to use it the whole match that would be op as hell lol.

Honestly I’m not a huge fan of perks that mess with early game as that’s already the killers weakest point. I feel the current state is alright but I wouldn’t be opposed to bumping each tier up by 5 just so that third tier has the potential to maybe pull a “gotcha” moment for a few seconds without letting the survivor completely escape

Lucky break is not OP. Not even close lol. It's still trash. 60s would gave been fine ans I say this as a killer main. I played with it yesterday and with a purple med kit, I actually got 2 uses out of it. Was on the dusty noose and the killer definitely lost me. I wish killers would stop whining every time survivors get anything that may give the killer a hard time of tunneling.

There is no reason to equip another Perk when BHVR is scared and makes it super weak again before it goes live.

Lucky break is kinda weak now if anything tbh. It has potential to be used in the meta, which I like. It's definetly not overpowered.

What are YOU on about? 45 seconds - 32 seconds per heal = 13 seconds of actual perk usage.
2 -
It lets you lose your first chase when you haven't even been hooked yet, which is when you want a killer chasing you...terrible perk.
2 -
Plus you have to take into account the running time to get away from the killer and get to a safe position to start healing. With this you would most likely have a single digit left of time.

Don't be so dramatic. Reducing it to 45 seconds makes it pretty much a one-time usage escape, which requires you to find a structure where you can break LoS in an unpredictable matter. Theatrics won't help you get your point across.

Lmao I've seen this perk once since the update. No way am I taking a perk that's absolutely useless after 45 seconds when there's a good chance you won't get ANY benefit out of it because so much of each map is a deadzone with ZERO line of sight blockers. The only way it could be any good is in a build dedicated to it and even then there are much better perks to take in its place.
The devs caved hard to the temper tantrums over this perk. So look forward to more of the same meta perks you people complain about nonstop.

Judging by how OP people seem to think the nerfed Lucky Break is, don't taunt them with DwM XD.
45s total pool vs DwM which lets you do it all throughout the game. So OP.
Anyway. No. Lucky Break isn't a problem.

So survivors now finally have a way to actually end a chase themselves instead of having to pray the killers gives up on them and we already want it gone? Jesus Christ let survivors have something without screaming for nerfs

I tried the Lucky Break/Iron Will combo just to see what the fuss was about, and I don't see why anyone would be concerned over it. 45 seconds at most, helps a survivor escape ONE chase. And Lucky Break still ticks away when you're healing (which I think is dumb). Then it's dead the rest of the match. It was kind of nice the few matches I tried it because it did help me get away from a tunneling Killer, but it's not worth the perk slot when it lasts so little.
I reverted back to my same 'ol perks after a few matches.

Yeah I thought it would have been strong as 90 seconds but 45? That’s pretty bad. Maybe you got 2-3 uses out of it before but now it’s basically a 1 time use and when you compare it to other 1 time use perks like DS/Unbreakable/etc there’s no reason to take it over that.
I doubt anyone would use it other than the memes which kind of defeats the purpose of changing it. I wish they just made it hide blood infinitely.

I've seen it twice and so far it hasn't stopped a chase for more than 5 seconds.
