I hope the RE killer is a classic one and not from the new games

As i've said many times before, i feel Nemesis or at least Mr X would be a better pick as the RE killer in the chapter. Having a character from RE7 or 8 just doesn't feel right when representing RE in the game.

I won't hate it if its a killer from the newer games, but using whats new instead of whats classic just feels...off or something.

I mean, it would be like DBD changing they're icon killer from Trapper to Trickster just because its new. Or using one of those White Xenomorphs from Alien Convenant instead of the classic Alien from the first or second movie

I just feel using a well-know classic fan-fav character would benefit better for the game. Am i the only one who feels this?

    I wouldn't call Mr. X classic. The one in the remake is essentially a different character from the original, from appearance to gameplay function to even the story, and nobody cares about the original guy from 1998. Even Jack Baker feels more classic to me, at least he's had a few years to stew. If I had to choose a classic character that wasn't Nemesis I'd go for Birkin or the RE1 Tyrant or even Lisa Trevor.
