Cold wind farms maps missing??
All right so me and a friend of mine were checking the new cold wind maps in custom games and I noticed that two of them seem to be missing from the list that The farmhouse and the slaughterhouse/rancid arbaittor .... Was this a bug or was or was there something wrong with the two maps and they're getting fixed???

I played some custom games with a friend, to visit the new Coldwind Farm maps and all of them were available.
Maybe a bug ?

The thing is I think they're all available in random rotation, but just for some whatever reason we can't pick those specific two

I think I got Thompsons House today (or maybe yesterday), cant say about Rancid Abattoir.

Yes, both Maps are disabled in Custom Games. I got Thompsons House this morning.
But I have also read that the Maps are disabled. Sadly no official Information about it, as far as I know. (Apparently because Killers were able to block the Basement Stairs on Thompsons House and Rancid Abattoir)

But with my friend we visited all of them, one by one, in custom games. Thats strange.

did you do to match management set to random map selection and using the coldwind offerings? or did you choose them though match management

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH ok then that explais it....yeah but isnt that the point of the basement? one way in and one way out??? if killers blocking it just focus on doing gens and getting out??

That used to be a thing on every map, but it was blatantly unfair that every killer could just body block survivors from even ATTEMPTING to enter/exit the basement, so they made it wider so you could squeeze through if a killer decided to AFK on the stairs.

That's unfortunate, but it isn't too surprising. The basement stairs being blockable in Rancid Abattoir was actually brought up in a thread here during the PTB feedback phase, but the developers must not have become aware of it until after the launch. I'm glad they know about it now, though, as that basement setup is quite troublesome.

The thing is, the Killer camping the Basement and making it very, very hard for Survivors to escape is fine. But the Killer camping the Exit, making it impossible to leave it (because their Hitbox is big enough to completely block the entrance) is not ok, so they disabled the Maps and will enable them again, when it is fixed. This has been done multiple times in the past (mostly because there were areas where Survivors can go through but Killers not).
Obviously, only if this is really the reason (as I said, no official statement), but it would make sense, since it has been brought up before.

Due to an issue, these two maps are currently disabled - Thompson House & Rancid Abbatoir. Sorry for the confusion.
