Solo ranking is absolutely brutal!
I’m at rank 7 with 2 pips, and it’s just become so hard to get past this point. For those who reached red ranks solo, good god how did you do it?!!! I play on console, pretty decent survivor. I can run a killer around (depending on the killer, I do get caught sometimes which I guess happens to the best of us)
I make sure to do objectives, Interact with the killer, at times ending with a hook, but I’m not an easy catch (most of the time) I try to be altruistic as much as I can, but the ranking is like it has a mind of its own sometimes I think for sure I will pip but it’s just a black, other times I think I will depip for sure but its black or surprisingly a pip.
It doesn’t help that even at this rank, I play with survivors who I wonder ifthey have played this game for more than 30 mins, often going down in the first minute of a game making surviving in most games very difficult compared to SWF. Another problem is sometimes I do lose focus and get caught early by a killer, which results in a hook and no rescue until the 2nd phase, then I have to work extra hard to get points to make sure I don’t depip, and that’s if the killer isn’t a tunneller.
To be honest, I don’t care about rank so much, but there is a nag inside me that just wants me to hit a one on red rank and then forget about rank just so I know I can do it. Unfortunately its really an uphill battle playing solo, for those who did it, please share some tips thanks.

Honestly it’s like the killers get so much better but the survivors get worst as you go higher in ranks.I feel like a lot of those people are usually SWF and don’t know how to play solo.

Do what i do and pretend there are no ranks at all. There is a 5-10 minutes queue in peak hours that you get rainbow ranks anyway. So my advice just play to have fun.
Hitting r1 as killer personally i find it piss easy,r1 as solo?i don't know, you need to dodge lobbies if your gut tells u your teammates are new.If u have all the time in the world of course.Otherwise good luck.U're gonna need it.

i got to rank 1 ONLY playing solo queue. i remember i got stuck at rank 7 too but i kept pushing through and eventually got to rank 1.

I have a rule that seems to work well to pip: do 2 full generators, do 2 safe unhook, escape 2 chases. (I mean, as a minimum.)
Good luck. I'm 100% solo, I know what it is!

Thanks for this.

i got stuck at rank 3 for ages but have made it to rank 2. Time of day makes a huge difference as survivors are potato and i get nothing but anti loop killers that slug and sweat so hard if i play at peak time. If i play really late at night then killer become more varied and survivors can loop for more than 10 seconds.

Well, there's no much to say, you know you gotta be productive in general.
I play only solo too and what helps me the most is my build, which is kindred, bond, spine chill and better together. You are aware of what's going on at almost all times and also provide some useful information to others, allowing better coordination. You don't need other perks if you are ok/decent at chases.

boohooo. Just play swf then and win every game until you get bored.

My best advice would be, try not to care too much about ranks. If you keep playing regularly and not totally suck, you will eventually hit rank 1. The pip-conditions are generous enough to reach high ranks without being a top-tier survivor. You honestly just need dedication.

There always has to be someone who is rude and thinks they’re a bad ass.
ok thanks 👍

Interesting build, no exhaustion perk? I feel like I can’t play without Dead Hard anymore, it’s just so good.

I’d ask you to grow up, but that’s obviously asking for too much. So I’m just not gonna waste any more energy on you.

Nope, because information beats anything else.
Kindred will tell to 2 of the survivors to stay on gens while the 3rd one comes for you instead of all 3 coming to you.
Better together will tell other survivors to avoid that area when being chased or help you out when looking for a gen.
Bond and Spine chill make a good combo, because sometimes it looks like the killer is heading to your direction but Bond tells you that they are actually chasing someone else.
Disclaimer: you might get paired with bots who ignore any of those clues or signs, you can't do anything about that, but your chances of success and better teamwork will be definitely higher.

Wait what?! Bots? Since when?

To hit red ranks you pretty much just have to keep playing it, i started this game about 1 - 2 months, i'm with 128 hours most survivor and i keep at rank 2 - 4 but i did hit rank 1 yesterday on a random match that i died. being this new and at red ranks sucks so much cuz i have to play with people with thousands of hours and i'm not that bad cuz i watched a LOT of experienced youtubers/streamers in both killer and survivor perspective before i started playing just for entertainment but it's not enough to be actually good, experience is everything.

Yes, I feel ya man. Stuck at rank 8 myself.
Keep preserving though, you'll get there :)
