Is Iron grasp a perk worth running?
I have been in a few games when killers use iron grasp and any other perks but that doesnt seem effective. I mean you almost never wiggle off to begin with and the only use i can see with it is if you hook someone in the basement as trapper

Iron Grasp is a free Perk, everyone has it. So it might be possible that the players in question did not have many Perks unlocked or on that Killer.
When it comes to worth running, not really. Agitation is better than Iron Grasp when it comes to carrying people.

I personally would only use Iron Grip if I really really really want basement hooks and already have Agitation in one of the other slots.

Oh thanks i was looking for another perk to replace since i almost never get use out of iron grasp

I'd say Agitation is much better because not only does it let you carry for longer, but it also makes you faster than survivors which can get you some cheeky hits if they get cocky or mess up
It also has the nice benefit of minimalising downtime by speeding up the process of transporting people to hooks. Killer gameplay is all about being efficient with time so, it def helps.

So the only difference between iron grasp and agitation is the reduced struggle?

It takes roughly 16 seconds for a survivor to wiggle off your shoulder with no perks and 17.9s with Iron Grasp LVL 3 - It's really not worth running if you ask me (unless you don't have anything better of course)
The side to side wiggling reduction is nice for beginners, but as you become more experienced with killer, it'll stop being an issue. Even a survivor perk that increases the side to side wiggling by 75% isn't massive. (Boil Over if you're not sure which perk I mean)
Agitation is a straight upgrade

Cmon man...you gotta use your killer big brain. We're better than survivors because of this....
Iron Grasp+Agitation+MAD GRIT!!!! <---Its a meme build but it can definitely be pretty funny.

Get Starstruck in there as well

Now we're cookin with HOT GREASE!

I tried the mad grit meme build but sadly im a free player so getting starstruck there means classic DbD grinding (i only purchased the game not the dlcs)

Only if you have a basement build, and even then you don't really need it. Agitation is a much better choice, but 9/10 times you don't need hook perks. They are only good for gimmicky builds and Nurse.
What killer are you playing and what's your current build? People may give you recommendations if you want.

If you are playing basement Hag, Trapper or Bubba it's a sure thing paired with Agitation. Otherwise it's not really worth it. Agitation is a better perk on it's own for fast hooks.

It is useless but its free so its kinda common at low ranks. Only if you are going full basement with agitation too is it worth it.

Since it was nerfed back in 2016 the Perk is useless. It used to increase wiggle time also by 75 %.

it counters a few things. boil over being one and any offerings that make the hooks spawn farther apart. it can also give you a few more seconds if there's a lot of body blocking going on.

Good basement parties we had back then 🎉🎈

Agitation is the one you want pal.

Iron Grasp is one of the last perks i would run on ANY killer. Agitation is always better option as you can catch up to survivors and get more free hits if they try to bodyblock. Anyways i would still maybe run something like infectious fright instead as you can put more pressure to near by survivors and also avoid flashlight saves
