Advice on playing Blight and DeathSlinger with controller?

What the title says.

Also before you say "Use Keyboard and Mouse instead its better"

I have to use a controller due to playing with one forever and my hands can't get used to playing games with a keyboard unless it's partially required.

The only thing I can think of for Blight is kicking up your sensitivity and using one of those analog stick extenders.

    Not much to say.

    For Deathslinger: Just keep practicing.

For Blight: He’s not as bad on controller as that other poster makes it seem. It’s just that you have to know you won’t ever be as good with him as he would be on pc. Just practice him and you can get steady wins. But like PC Nurse vs Console Nurse PC Blight is a whole other story.

Consistent sensitivity is very important. You want to have enough so they can't spin around you much, but also not too high with "aiming" killers (huntress, nurse, blight, deathslinger). And when you finally find your sweetspot, just never change it so you get the muscle memory. For me it's 50%.

Blight: Don't even bother with him until he gets fixed or unless you REALLY enjoy him and I mean REALLY enjoy him.

Slinger: He isn't effected much by controller so keep practicing, learn screen centralisation or use a crosshair, and keep a constant sensitivity that you like. I would recommend 90 - 100 but if lower works for you use it.

Step 1: Go to the main menu.

Step 2: Select "Play as Killer".

Step 3: Pick anyone but Blight, Huntress, Nurse and Slinger.

    Step 4: Profit.

If you are playing on Steam and have a controller that has a gyro sensor (eg Switch Pro Controller) then you can turn that on, it might help but needs practice..

I mean you don't "have" to use a controller, unless you're on console. It's weird at first but you can get familiar with it if you actually put in the effort to try. There aren't really any tips we can give for Deathslinger apart from 'practice', because that's all there is to him. You're playing an FPS, and the main way you get better at an FPS is practicing your aim.

If you have the controller for it, and you're on PC, you could also try setting up gyro aiming. Steam lets you do it with all the supported controllers, or DS4Windows also has extensive gyro settings that you can tweak until it feels right. I tried it before, what I ended up doing was enabling gyro aim by holding L2, so for example when I ready a Huntress hatchet, I'd be able to move my controller to aim at the survivor. When I didn't have L2 held, aiming would be normal with the right stick.

If it's the keyboard part you dislike you could try controller left hand and mouse right, sounds weird I know but I like it sometimes

McLean has confirmed that Blight's controller turning isn't working as intended and is going to be changed.

Slinger just needs practice. You'll be gimped by your control scheme, but over time, you'll get used to it.

On blight I wouldnt even try for 2 main reasons

    1. You'll never be able to get past a certain level with him as high level blight gameplay involves a lot of quick flicks of up to 180 degrees which you just cant do on console as efficiently
    2. He's buggy as ######### so that will just add on to the uphill battle that is enjoying him on console.

For Death slinger it will just take practice and patience.

If you can, adjust the joystick curve to maximum sensitivity. I did that with my Elite controller and it gave Blight near-m&k levels of control.

Ah ok, well hope they fix blights controls sometime since seen a dev clip saying they are working on it https://youtu.be/2IzCrjG1y1I?t=24 so fingers crossed and I may have spent 9.5 million blood points on him. Well guess I just practice DeathSlinger and watch some vids on how to get better.

Funny enough I do that with other games but ever since some update with the game it lags very hard if I use a controller and keyboard/mouse together which is very sad but hopefully just a bug.

Not sure if someone else has already mentioned it but you could get a programmable controller.

Some are pretty affordable and allow you to adjust the deadzones and even response-curve of both joysticks.

I play in PC with an Xbone controller cause I don't want to play at a desk and I have my PC connected to my TV in my living room. There are crosshair overlays that can help with Slinger. For both Killers play around with your controller sensitivity until you find that sweet spot for you. Blight has gotten much better since the PoV change but I don't know if that's cause I can actually see ######### or if it's because I'm just getting the hang of him with a controller.

Honestly the best advise anyone could give is just practice, practice, practice. It's harder on controller but it can be done, this is coming from a PS4 huntress main.
