So what happened to J flick?
I heard Dowsey say that it get nerfed then LillithOmen say it is replaced with Z flick which is way more consistent and can be done on console too. What happened to Blights flicking?

It happened that now you pre-turn 90 degrees and then add 90 on top during your lunge. Basically it's still the same thing with extra steps. Or fewer, if you weren't switching DPI.

Here is a video of a 90 + 90 flick, which I took last month, but still should work in this patch.

I can't play with it yet, but I've been watching a streamer play with the changes to Blight and honestly Blight has been buffed. He may now be the strongest killer in DBD. Blight went from S tier to S+ tier

Both the non-attack and attack flicks are capped at 90 degrees, so no one is going over any turn caps. Also, console Blight was buffed to be able to flick around objects, and that was a deliberate programming code change, so being able to flick around objects should be intended.

no J flick was an exploit that could only be done on PC by abusing a bug where if you were using a high enough sense you could break the cap on turning. This is using that you can turn 90 degrees in the attack aswell as the rush and is even possible on consoles.
They have the same result but different methods.

It's like oni now let's say max turn is 90Ā° angles you do a 45 to the right and then realize the surivor faked you and went straight you still have another 45ā¢ left to turn so if th ey went straight you can hit them but if they went left you cant turn anymore and miss

Well according to these patchnotes the j-flick should still be doable on Oni who actually is far worse than Blight at abusing it. So the biggest offender hasn't been addressed yet.

What difference is there between going through walls and being able to get a hit at every loop. There isn't. With blight it doesn't matter what you're using to protect yourself any longer he can get around it and hit you. There is no longer any counterplay at all to Blight.

so they fixed j flick, then made it doable on console, and now it's a technique instead of a bug

Yes. He. Can. And what does it matter if there's a window, the blight can hit you if you try to go through it.

I mean, the Devs haven't actually said if the 90 + 90 flick is intentional or not yet. They might just leave it now as it's performable on console and PC but who knows.

listen. if the forums burn down over the existence of this for another couple months i'm going to be so bored. every thread is already killer mains vs survivor mains tearing each other down over minor things, i don't need to see more ammo for that war.

It's always been this way, lol. It's an asymmetrical game so when people predominantly play one side, they can become susceptible to tribalism. 'The other side is bad and are always favoured by the devs! What? They nerfed the other side last week? Shut up! You're just a stupid survivor/killer main'. We humans love our Us vs thems after all, or at least, some do. I for one, hope these new flicks stay. Knowing this community and the Dev team though, it's likely that they'll remove them. After about 2 or 3 months of the forums going up in flames that is.

Its definitely still there. My friends got steamrolled today by a Blight doing it. Perfect u-turns around T-Walls. The guy was bragging about it at end chat. I just let it slide off my back but my dudes were livid about it. Wasn't much you could do against it.
