Fix the laggy hits

Quit favoring killers on every single swing. This game is NOT survivor sided so get over it and actually fix the game. Killers can deal with learning how to actually play the game and adjust to being closer to the survivors to land hits. When a killer is so far away that you jump through a window, land, take 2 steps, the killer starts to swing they should NOT be landing that hit. The survivor is NOT next to the window anymore when that swing is starting on the survivor's end and we are on dedicated servers so hit registration should NOT be based solely on what the killer sees on their end. This is not the old peer to peer system where hit detection was done by the killer's client. When going through a vault that has a drop you should NOT be getting hit when your head is below the killer's feet in the drop when the killer starts their swing. You should NOT be getting hit when the killer is behind you facing the OTHER way. You should NOT be getting hit when the killer is on one side of a pallet and you are on the other side of it. You should NOT be getting hit from 2 pallet lengths distance in front of the killer in a straight run. Many of these issues have been going on for years and we shouldn't be accepting these inadequacies just because it's been this way for a long time. Something that's been wrong for an extended period of time is STILL WRONG.

But it's super fun to get hit when the killer is facing the wrong way as you run behind the side of an object.

Here's the small problem with all of that. On the killers screen if they hit you then they're going to hit you. Latency is a big issue but killers don't need to learn about getting closer to hit because most likely hit you on their screen.

I'm sorry but killer's are already OP in the current meta, they can deal with adapting. Survivors have had to learn to adapt to changes to fix killers for 5 years now. Killers can learn to adapt to this one thing to make the game healthier for everyone.

There are definitely hits that feel totally fair, nice solid blows that were clearly within range. But I've had countless moments of trying to evade a killer by doubling back around a tree or something only for them to swing and still connect, despite the fact that what they hit was the air I just left behind me before I turned. Sometimes I've even been hit THROUGH obstacles. It's like it didn't matter if I rounded a corner and broke line of sight for a second, as long as they started their swing while I was still within view the hit "catches up" anyway.

Again, there are plenty of fair hits in this game but when it's to the point that a killer seems to have a 360 degree strike radius that can go around corners or even behind them, it feels a little cheap. If I'm running south and the killer swings north, or if I'm already on the other side of a wall or similar obstacle when the killer swings, basic laws of physics tell me that I shouldn't be getting hit.

This is exactly my point. I'm not complaining about hits that are clearly legit or even questionable. Only the hits that make no sense whatsoever.

It definitely does happen, and a bit too frequently in my opinion. The survivors' hitboxes, or the hitboxes of the killer's attacks, are simply too generous. Again, if anyone feels that I'm complaining I'm really not trying to, I'm just trying to be objective and balanced. I've played plenty of games where I thought (or even said aloud) "OOH, cracked right in the back of the head. That was some solid #########". But I'd say almost half the hits I take in this game are late or not close enough or at too awkward an angle to have landed, yet they still did.

I'll put it this way: I either get hit solid, which is fine, or I get hit from around the sides of objects or when killers are otherwise facing the wrong direction, etc. Actual whiffs, complete misses, or hits against that land against the object I'm running around instead of me? Almost never, EVER happens. It's either I get hit fairly, or I get hit unfairly. I'm not blaming anyone, in fact if there IS blame part of it is on me. I'm just saying that the current system is too generous. Within three or four feet and the survivor just juked left out of your vision? Just swing forward, they'll still take the hit anyway. Cheesy.

There are times when I have to be on top of a survivor to hit them. It cuts both ways.

They have... i have stupidly low ping and pallets are instant stun now. If you are lagy like 90% of streamers (60+ ping) things don't look like they have changed. At sub 20 ping survivors literally freeze you mid lunge and you float back to your side and get stunned the moment they hit space.

I actually require a vpn now to make the game fair. I don't want to but how is this fair on me? Likewise being low ping also screws me over as survivor. I was literally being hit scanned by a pyramid head earlier today and going down before the attack even came out of the sword.
