The ONE time I make it to rank 1 rank reset comes along and sends me straight back down to 20. I started a match and was put with a rank 20 and 18 swf along with a rank 13 and another 20. the swf were better than I expected and I let them escape because of both the 13 and 20 DC ing.

I can't help but feel bad if they were higher ranks who were just struggling with the same reset I had. Should I feel bad about making the other two DC?

    That is just game. So i say no. Devs have to feel bad because of this broken matchmaking system, not you.

    Dude, use this as a chance to do the adept challenges you haven't done, try out weird perks, go perkless for a while, challenge yourself use this as a time for growth as a player.
