Xbox One Lag spikes.
is anybody else having really bad lag spikes at inconvenient times like when a skill check pops up, when you’re about to vault a loop in a chase or when using exhaustion perks? I must get 5 lag spikes every game which sucks because my connection is good. It’s only for dead by daylight. When are the devs going to stop neglecting console players.

Yes I am. Just another broken promise. They need to open up to us about this nonsense. The amount of money I’ve spent on skins and characters just to suffer with lag spikes. It’s embarrassing

Currently all status effects make your game freeze on old gen consoles.
This includes status effects of other players.
Notice how when a teammate gets hit and your game freezes it's because the killer has Sloppy Butcher.
Or when a teammate uses Sprint Burst, Dead Hard etc it may make your game freeze, too.
The devs promised 60fps on XB1/PS4 back in 2018. Now we're expected to just buy a new gen console so we can play a 5 year old game without FPS freezes.
Ridiculous.

Poor optimization is unfortunately a thing that's been around for some time on console. We have a post now that Pulsar shared already and we've had posts in the past about it that were closed like this one

Yup, and before I created that one there was a thread way larger than mine that was sent into the void. And as people have said, this has been going on for quite some time!

It's so poor. I'd love to play killer, but it's hard enough playing with a controller, pair that with frame drops and it can literally be the cause of me losing a game. If a survivor uses dead hard or vaults a pallet, it can completely freeze my game and cause me to lose track of them.
So I stick to survivor, but even then, if the killer has sloppy butcher, my game freezes. If the killer has ruin, my game freezes. If I use dead hard, my game freezes. Something really needs to be done about it.

Same on PC. Ping is fine, connection is consistent everywhere else. Yet I'm getting actual teleporting levels of lag occasionally as killer.

Yeah it's gotten significantly worse recently. I'm actually struggling to see survivors after I hit them. It's like they literally vanish into thin air. Even when I do keep track of them on a chase it's so glitchy I'm struggling to land hits on them if they are in close proximity to me.

Hard to fathom why widely-known frame drop triggers like Sloppy or Exposed or whatever have been in the game for years and years.
