Biggest Killer Weakness?

As a killer main, I want to ask other killer mains what their biggest weakness is as a killer?

Like for instance, I can run loops no problem, but if a survivor is really good and making me work for it I get tunnel vision. Suddenly I forget how to loop or midgame and screw myself over.

I struggle with tracking. Scratch marks can really play with me sometimes.

Staying on task. Sometimes the only thing you can do against a slippery survivor is just cut your losses and abandon the chase. I've had too many rounds where I burned time on a chase and found myself two or even three gens down and no hook to show for it.

Shack. I'm decent at mindgaming other loops, but with the holes in the walls (that you can't put projectiles through on the revamped maps... what the hell, BHVR?), even if I get rid of the pallet, it seems like there's nothing I can do but abandon a chase when a survivor goes to shack and proves they know how to run it.

Level up your wraith, he has unique perks that make survivors easier to track during chases

I have every character leveled up including Wraith. I don't find his perks useful in the long run as I feel like I need to practice more without those perks which frees up room for more useful perks.

Playing any killer with low mobility

Cant stop gens and have to 3-4 gen

I suck at picking a killer to play. Honestly that's the hardest part of my gameplay 😂

Bloodhound-Decent tracking perk but not all that good

Predator-Hinders you by making scratch marks unable to appear on walls

Shadowborn-Really good on Nurse and Huntress, but that's about it.

Same, tunnel vision gets me every time. I don't use a lot of slow down Perks so my games go by real fast if I'm up against a SWF or just a particularly good looper.

L T walls. I think that is what they are called? You know, when there are those two windows?

I have never been able to figure those out.

It would have to be with the fact you think you have it but you don't

    Getting paranoid about perks.

I think for me it's committing to a chase. I generally prefer to juggle survivors more than stick to a single survivor and if I can usually find a weak link or two in the survivors and win by overwhelming them. But if all 4 survivors are good this strategy doesn't really work and I need to get downs and by the time I realize this, often it's too late and I've lost the game.

I'm a really anxious person. When things don't go in the right way, when I start making mistakes or even survivors being toxic, I start panicking and then everything literally goes wrong.

Honestly, as a killer I think I lack map control, I like to chase more survivors and sometimes the gens goes with a blink.

Guarding generators. I'm usually too focused on chasing survivors.

Pre dropping pallets and holding W when I play someone like Pig, it destroys me very often in early game.

Also keeping track with scratch marks on Ormond and new Coldwind maps

That one tile in ormond and yamaoka that I still haven’t figured out yet

Gen management is my weak point. I lose the first couple of gens way too quickly. Fortunately, my mid to late game is good enough, but I do wish that I'm able to slow those first couple of gens better than currently.

Overthinking mindgames. I sometimes setup a massive 10000 IQ play and overthink a situation only to realize the survivor has ran from the tile and all I've done is lost ground.

Tracking through corn is a nightmare as well.

My weakness is adorable survivors. I can't kill people when they offer me an item or when they play in a "comedic" way.

All killers are weak to smart, efficient altruism with a good combo of perks that shore up survivor weaknesses.

Except nurse and spirit those two are the entities right and left.

(Sorry Lefty I still love you more)

biggest killer weakness is me playing them, just started to play killer some days ago and good lord I'm bad 😪

Sounds. I despise Iron Will, because somehow when I play Killer almost everyone uses it.

Sometimes it's so extreme that I start using Stridor on almost every Killer.

Sometimes it's not an issue at all, like at the moment.

My biggest weakness as killer would have to be Tracking because of all the issues related to sound and all the nerfs they made to scratch marks since 2019 but i'm actually going with the MAPS. I feel like i have to fight the Map more than Survivors. Dealing with Map RNG is far beyond infuriating.

As a PH and Yionkface main, I find the lack of information really annoying, I have to run to the other side of the map and they pop 2-3 gens while I'm walking, so lack of info is painfull

Probably perk selection. I try to select perks that synergize with the power. For instance, I thought Beast of Prey would be good on Ghost Face because he'd lose his red stain, and then he could also crouch if his power wasn't ready. Welp, it sucks.

I thought Pop was amazing on Huntress because of her power in chase, but then I join an Umbra stream and she says it's horrible compared to like Corrupt.

Uh... Trickster's Blades, Plague's Purge, and Deathslinger's Reelgun go through the holes in shack just fine. You're probably not aiming it right.

Im blind so i usually dont see scratch marks from far away, people hiding in corners... The biggest thing is that My own mind is playing mind games on me.

example: on cowshed im following someone in the corn and just for a split second I see someone else in the most left corner of my eyes then i turn, no one is there, i turn back and i lost my guy :)

I dunno what made you think Beast of Prey was good on anyone. It's activation requirement is literally to be Bloodlusted, and Night Shroud is not very useful on most loops.

Pop is good on anyone. Don't let some rando streamer tell you what to run.

The devs, having bust rng or huge maps can really bug me, as someone who plays all killers having such random and often unfair setups isn't a fun experience especially as weaker killers...

Time management when it gets close to the end game and 3-4 survivors still alive and last gen is about to pop its hard for me to decide whats the next best play to try and win most times i overthink it and just end up losing lol

    DetailedDetriment Member Posts: 2,632

Night shroud is useful on any loop that has walls. No red stain is huge. My though with BoP on GF was back when he came out.

Umbra is, imo, the third-best Huntress player in the world, so her tips and opinions on the killer are certainly valid.

Looping. One reason I'm drawn to Doc, Clown and Spirit. I can't chase worth a dang and I lose track of people all the time.
