Suggestion: Whispers or Exit Gate Idea
I have had a couple matches today where I found myself playing hide and seek with the last two survivors. They did not attempt gens and were hiding from me.
This doesn't happen too often but when it does it can be a little annoying. I don't want the dc penalty but I also don't want to play hide and seek for 10+ minutes.
Would it be too OP if Whispers can become activated under the following conditions?
- 2 players left.
- A gen has not been repaired in 5 min or a chase has not happened in 5 min.
- survivors get a warning at 3 min that they must do something or else Whispers will activate for the killer. Getting in a chase or doing a gen would prevent it.
- if activated then it only lasts until the killer gets into a chase or a survivor goes down.
- it would never activate with 1 survivor. It would only be there to help locate survivors when they decide not to play the game anymore.
What do you think? Too op? 5 min not enough?
My other idea is to simply let killers open the exits gates whenever they want. That way if they are tired of searching they can concede the game without DC.

My idea for this would be to have a killer that can use thermal vision. Doctors can see through walls with shocks and nurses can go through them, so why not have a killer that can see Claudettes in a bush.

I always thought it would be fun to have a killer with echolocation. They would be blind but be able to echolocoate their surroundings. Also flashlights would not work against them mwahahaha. Could be too op or super difficult to play tho lol.
Having thermal vision as a special power would be cool. It could probably even be used to see gen progression! (Predator as killer when??? D:<)

The only part i'm going to comment about here is the last part referring to letting the killer open exit gate whenever they want; i'm going to assume you mean when 2 survivors remain but gens arent complete (as letting the killer do it whenever would just lead to the game starting with an exit game open and remove the whole point of the objective style game, also would lead to the abuse of end game builds where the killer just downs all the survivors and then blood warden kicks in), so if you are talking about when 2 survivors remain, here's my issue with that: 1, that gives way too much power to the killer. Even as a killer main I can admit that that ability would let the killer control the game a ton, especially with end game builds and/or characters like trapper or hag. 2, it removes the opportunity for more objective category bloodpoints for the survivors, which seems a little unfair.

I didn't think this all the way through clearly ^^" You are totally right. Being able to open the gate whenever could be abused/ give advantage to the killer which isn't my intention here.

Yeah I kind of assumed you just hadn't thought about it fully yet, but I thought I might as-well put that out there for readers who were thinking about that part. Btw, I like that you're thinking about ways to stop hide-and-go-seek in games, so dont think I disagree with your post as a whole :)

there's no advantage for the killer.
if he stays in one gate, all you have to do is open the other.
if he patrols both gates, just gotta run out the open one.
endgame builds only work because people are almost dead already, if everyone is healthy, all you're gonna get in 1k. (assuming people aren't playing bad of course)
granted, the killer opening the gate at any point should get a time to activate, after 15 minutes of a trial for instance. Just so 1 person can't just force the game to end as soon as it starts.

I'm not a malicious player so I tend to miss how things can abused lol. Your input is appreciated! ^^
Maybe the simplest way to get out of a hide and seek situations would be to have a concede option appear for the killer after a certain amount of time has passed and the game hasn't progressed. That way a killer can leave, keep all their BP, and not have search around for 10+ minutes.

Happens to me all the time and I wish we had something against it. When there are two survivors left it just becomes a competition of who can let the other one die first to get the hatch. It drags on forever, specially in maps full of lockers. The killer has to watch for the hatch in case they find a key, patrol the gens and at the same time search the whole map for 2 survivors.
I'm still surprised the game doesn't have a timer. I used to run whispers all the time just because of that situation, now I just find someone and slug him for a bit and see if I can find the other guy, otherwise I just pick them, let them wiggle off, watch them do gens until the hatch spawns and kill them. It still wastes lot of time and it's not fun.

@NightmareKiller When I play survivor and I'm one of the last two it is equally annoying having my 'teammate' just waiting around for me to die. I always run bond so I know whats up lol.
I always try to get gens done no matter what. If I die so be it. I just can't stand being in a match where nothing is happening. I much rather die then hide around forever.
When I play killer though its even more frustrating since there is nothing I can do if both survivors are playing hide and seek.
Today I am pretty sure the last 2 were swf and they were trying to get me to DC. I looked for them for 15 before I got lucky and found one :<
Maybe I am just having bad luck today but I do think killers should have some kind of mechanic to end a match if the last 2 survivors are not participating.

I think it just gives the killer too much control of the game, but I see your reasoning.

Yeah I get this, but maybe something more gameplay oriented instead of just flat out conceding, then again I'm too tired to think off one so I agree lol.

Hahaha we all seem to agree something should be done but the solution isn't clear ^^"

Yeah for sure, though I think this would have to become an even larger issue within the game for BHVR to address it, so all we can really do is hope.
