Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Lithe or smash hit?

I like smash hit more, but people say lithe is better. What’s your opinion.

And to those who are going to get toxic over which perk someone enjoys, leave before i have the discussion closed.

Smash hit is more situational but has a stronger effect while lithe is more versatile

They both lose to sprint burst though

I prefer lithe because smash hit is useless if you run to an area where another survivor has already been chased and dropped all the pallets.

Its very hard to pallet stun a good killer unless they actively want you to with Spirit Fury.

Smash Hit is more usefull IMO as you usually want to make distance after stunning the Killer with a pallet.

I don't like Lithe as you could vault a window/pallet with no intention of leaving the area. Like the shack. I like to block the window before using the pallet or simply leaving the area.

But Lithe is way easier to activate, as you don't need to get the stun (which asks the right timing, especially if you don't want to waste a pallet after being hit).

Smash Hit is too situnational and depending on the killer respecting the pallet or not, to be the better one imo. If you get it to work then you get better value though, 4 seconds of sprint and the killer is stunned for 3 of them.

Though Lithe is more consistent and you can use it whenever you feel like, but also has the downside that sometimes you're forced to use it on, not so strong windows or if you have to vault an unsafe pallet.

Lithe tbh, it doesn't expect you to successfully do something to get the perk to work. Smash Hit expects you to stun the killer. I mean, what if you fail in stunning the killer and you desperately need that 4 sec sprint... Could result in pallet wasting too ig

Smash Hit has gotten me out of tough situations and makes distance but I have more uses for lithe. So I will say lithe is better

Smash it is good if you are decent at looping without exhaustion perks

No, Smash Hit is definitely better than Sprint Burst for players that aren't good at chases and just want to stealth. Camp a pallet, take a hit, zip across to the other side of the map and sit on a gen.

But dropping after being hit isn't a waste of the resource?

(I'm asking for real, as I wanna improve my gameplay and see what is better to do.)

The strongest extant playstyle by far is the extremely high-skill predrop-and-W. Its only weakness is that your team will waste time doing literally nothing productive.

Bearing that in mind, a player that just doesn't want to be chased using a single pallet to send themselves across the map to do gens over there seems like a pretty good use of a resource to me.

I’d say in terms of good survivors that sprint burst is better since smash hit will make you chew through pallets fast

Smash Hit all depends on the killer's ability to avoid pallet stuns and the pallets available. Nothing is guaranteed with Smash Hit.

which is actually a good point for smash hit. no free hits anymore, countering 2 perks.

another pro is that even the weak pallets can grant you escapes, like half of the hawkins pallets or that useless one in temple. also, head on is considered pretty strong because normal exhaustion perks give you 3 sec with 150% speed while the killer follows you at 115%, but headon gives you the same bonus while the killer is at 0%. here also smash hit can score with a 2 second stun while having 4 seconds of a boost.

but I agree that it is 1) harder to trigger than any other exhaustion perk and 2) you have limited resources to do so. lets say, if it works, it is definitely the strongest exhaustion perk, but the limited chances and harder conditions lessen its value. for me, below lithe

True, but not everyone's good at chases as a survivor, which is why I think these sorts of things are always heavily contextual because even someone who sucks at chases can be a genuine threat if they have the right loadoud and some genuine tenacity.

Lithe is easier to activate, but Smash Hit guarantees a chase end, no matter what (unless you waste it).

I'm still gonna say Lithe because of how hard it is to activate Smash Hit.

Lithe - I find I don’t get pallet stuns nearly often enough to justify Smash Hit. Heck, for the pallet stun challenge on the first level of the current tome, it took me like ten games to get enough pallet stuns to complete it.
