NOED
Before you go and say “Just do bones, dont rescue, run detectives hunch” I dont care. Doing all the bones is sometimes literally impossible because of the totems spawning in an unreachable spot. I’m also not going to run hunch just because the killer MIGHT have NOED, and if they didn’t, i wasted all my time on nothing. It’s just a perk that rewards the killer for not doing their job correctly. Why should the survivors who actually did their job be punished for doing their job. It’s also really annoying on characters that have built in insta down mechanics and Blood Warden. You were so bad that you need 2 instadowns and a perk to force the survivors to stay to get a kill. And if you come here and say “just do bones” please do not. I dont mind if you are using it because you have nothing else, i just feel that its a poorly designed perk.
I NEVER SAID I WANTED IT NERFED. WHERE DOES IT SAY I WANT IT NERFED, PLEASE KINDLY POINT IT OUT.

Your logic is flawed, NOED doesn't reward killers for failing at their job any more than DS, Unbreakable and Soul Guard reward survivors for losing chases. Which they don't, they're tools to give you a chance of turning around a bad situation.
NOED is the inverse of Adrenaline. Adrenaline heals you a health state (if applicable) and gives a speed buff. NOED damages you for an extra health state and gives a speed buff.
Also I have not heard of any totems in unreachable spots happening lately, a few patches ago there were a few uncleansable totem spawns, but those have been fixed.
Finally, I will echo the same advise I've given here a lot. You don't have to cleanse all the bones, you just need to find NOED after it activates and cleanse it.

i hope this perk gets reworked
the thing is if you complain about people will say just do bones and git gud which is so annoying

NOED can proc more than once. If it was directly comparable it would be one noed hit per survivor. Alas it is not.

Just run one of the hundreds of totem tracking perks in the game. Hell, even the new Jill perk reveals another totem once you've cleansed one. There is literally no excuse anymore to not be able to find and cleanse totems. Stop expecting the devs to nerf an easily counterable perk because you're too lazy to change you perk load out or remember totem spawns.

NOED is a killer perk. Killer and survivor perks are not 1:1 equivalents because killers and survivors are not 1:1 equivalents.
1 -
Then allow me to retort.
If noed was comparable to the survivor perk adrenaline. Then noed would get a 1 down per survivor. Total of 4 downs. 4:1

What's more annoying is see people making "nerf noed" posts when the devs keep adding new totem tracking perks to deal with hex perk.

If you refuse to take the steps required to deal with NOED (or any Hex for that matter) than you deserve anything you get. There will be no Deus Ex Machina from the DEV. If you choose to roll the dice, you take your chances.

A killer getting 4 downs with NOED is unrealistic. 1-2 downs, sure. 3? Maybe, if nobody opens a gate. 4+? Only if the survivors are ######### around.

I agree with that but that's not what I was saying.

Yes you are. You want the devs to nerf noed so you don't have change your loadout or memorise totem spawns. Just do bones kiddo, with Jill's new perk you have no excuse anymore.

Future proofing my response.

If your scenario is unrealistic, your point is effectively moot. You can't use 100% unrealistic scenarios to complain about a perk's power.

I wasn't complaining. Sorry dad. I'll stay moot.

Rainbow Map or Green map + Red Twine
There now you are not wasting a perk.
You can even run it with a Crystal Bead so your fellow survivors will also see where totems and chests are.
So easy to look for solutions instead of always looking at the negatives.

You don't need to play the ptb to look up the new perk, stop being an ignorant little brat. This whole post is a "nerf noed" post, otherwise you wouldn't make it if you were fine with noed.

Nothing to do with the PTB. The chapter will be live in a few weeks. My answer will be valid then.

I mean can't the same argument be made in regards to keys? Why would you reward bad survivors with an item that let's them leave the game early when they couldn't do their objective of repair the gens and escape through the doors? Sure I can run Franklin's to counter, but then I have to go looking for the one survivor with the key and if I don't find them then we'll, I've wasted my time chasing for nothing.
See how easy that can be turned around and how dumb this argument sounds? Same with NOED. It's a potential tool in a killer's tool belt that they can choose to use, same as keys with survivors.
1 -
Then that's your choice. I would rather use a perk or an item since NOED and other Hex perks are often seen in matches. I would rather be proactive than reactive. Because of this I have not seen NOED activate in probably 2 months approximately - even though several killers have equipped it. So you keep doing you and getting hit with NOED - and I will keep doing me and keep escaping.

Then use a map or one of the other totem perks till June 15th. Noed doesn't reward bad killers, it punishes lazy survivors like you who neglect their secondary objective. Do bones kiddo.

Cool then I guess NOED isn't really an issue then for you.

I wanna know why it's okay for survivors to stack on the second chance perks to cover for their mistakes
But if the killer slots one that covers their mistakes, that's somehow wrong.
2 -
Wait people still complain about NOED? How hard is it to learn totem spawn? How hard is it to bring one of the 2 (soon 3) perk that give bone's location? Get good, that's all there is to say.
1 -
Not all survivors think the way the OP does. Generalizations do nothing to further actual discussions. As a survivor I have no issues with NOED because I recognize that the survivors actually have 2 main objectives: Generators & totems.
I don't use NOED as a killer as I think it's a waste of a perk slot. I would rather focus on perks that help me avoid getting to the end game collapse.

If I were you take your discussion elsewhere. You're arguing with majority killer mains. There are people who think like you do, just not here. You won't convince anyone. Trust me.

killer mains dont give survivors advice. these are survivors, YOUR TEAMMATES, giving op advice on how to beat a perk they are frustrated with. and by and large, op is digging in and ignoring them, so it's basically thread over. nothing good will happen.
2 -
Yeah but the OP is also kinda generalizing this too. As a killer I usually run NOED because I'm still new to the game and run it as I'm leveling a killer because I literally have no other perks to use. What, you mean I should just run less useful add-ons like Iron Grip or Deer Hunter instead, just because the survivors will get annoyed that I'll run NOED on a baby killer with only two perk slots? The match is already heavily stacked against me cus either I don't have many perk slots unlocked or I just don't have any good perks in general on that killer, whereas the survivors I face usually have all of their more useful add-ons in all four slots, purpled out and ready to go. Why should I handicap myself even further? Sorry but I'm gonna use whatever I got that's useful. Don't like it, well...I mean too bad. I guess you're gonna have to destroy my totems until I get to the point where I can make viable builds on my killers.

I don't typically use NOED either for same reasons. BUT, I do love to call people out on their double standards.
BTW, you can insert #notallplayers above all my posts before indulging in telling me such nonsense. Anybody with a bit of common sense knows any faction in this world is not a monolith. So please....
1 -
We have all these fun new things to argue about and you go for a noed thread?
2 -
I am a 50/50 player - 1600 hours as survivor and just under 1700 as killer.
If you are finding NOED to be a problem then you can either be proactive and takes measures (perks or item) to help you. If you choose to do nothing then you deal with the ramifications of that choice.
But as stated earlier: The op BARELY sees NOED - so I am not sure what the actual point of this thread is since the OP rarely sees NOED and doesn't want to do anything that will help him counter it.
The topic is circular and the OP is obstinate - so this discussion will go nowhere.
1 -
You don't have to tell me anything. You can't teach me anything about the game.
What I said to OP is true.

Have you read these forums LOL. Hyperbole is practically the standard. If someone doesn't use words like: Some, A majority, etc - then one could easily infer they mean something more generalized. Or as my grandmother used to say (She was a feisty Irish woman btw) "Mean what you say and say what you mean."
My comment was not meant as disrespectful - more a reminder that making generalizations are not productive. When it comes to these forums especially - I find words matter in separating the hyperbolic from the rational.
1 -
Boy I bet discussions are fun with you. The OP is a classic "survivor main" mentality poster. Sure he will find others like him...they are also survivor mains. I prefer to speak in a factual and as much as possible unbiased manner. This can rub both survivor and killer mains the wrong way because they don't like to hear rational discussions they just want people to agree with them.
0 -
I don't generalize. But I do accept I could of done more to make that clear. I take frequent breaks from this forum for my sanity and often forget I'm not as known as some people here.

Closing the thread. I know we have strong feeling about things like NOED, Keys, etc; but please try and discuss people's thoughts and opinions on them in a civil manner.
