Why only 2 zombies

I get it for smaller maps but maps but for like red forest they will be on the edge of the map constant being useless? So why only 2?

    Yeah on smaller maps but when ever I see them on red forest they are just around the edges of the maps

    I think 2 zombies in big maps can feel like bullshit but I don't think that's a problem with Nemesis since I think 2 zombies is enough. I think that's just a problem with big maps being so god damned large.

    If the survivors were infected, that'd certainly be a neat mechanic, but then I'd reduce the starting number of zombies to 1. Maybe even 0.

    I don't know if that would be necessary, the two are pretty darn tame. Worst case scenario it gets up to (5) if you are the last Survivor left. If spawning more from dead Survivors is problematic for the code, I wish they had some add-on(s) that increased their number. Perhaps a Purple that added one more, and a red that added two.

    From what I saw in KYF, they spawn at opposite ends of the map. This means that 3 would cover a large portion of the map. 5 would just be impossible to play against. Don't forget, they're attracted to noise and can only be temporarily destroyed with a pallet.

    True, but I still think a third one would be good, and not OP. Perhaps one of the Red Offerings (I recall one was good and one sucked). Perhaps they could make the sucky one +1 Zombie instead. :)

    By the time you get a kill though most gens will be done so it would be balanced. But being real adding an extra one for bigger maps is a fair ask. 3 for huge maps wont do much considering they move so slow... ptb is full of mixed skill, everything usually gets weaker due to the easier players I verse in ptb

    I do wish there was an addon that added one more zombie at least, but otherwise from what I played the current two seem to do ok. I wouldn't be against having three zombies though.

    Maybe instead of adding another zombie, their base movement speed could be increased slightly to help on larger maps?

    1. If Zombie is blinded, they will stop follow/attack you for how long?

    I think Survivor should able to kill them if they're blinded, but requires much more time doing so than a pallet.

    From what I've seen so far those 2 zombies have been more than effective. I think it's the right balance, although maybe it would have been nice to add an ultra rare offering of adding 1 more, but that's just mw being picky.

    True but the overall utility of the zombies really decreases on open maps such as Rotten Fields. They won't be alerting the presence of survivors as much, injuring or infecting survivors is going to be hard too because survivors will often see them coming, ...

    Maybe the map you're going to play on should determine the amount of zombies that spawn so bigger, more open maps have an extra zombie. If it's just one extra zombie I don't think it's going to impact the game much in a bad way.

    i think having more than than 2 would be a good thing. Yeah they can follow you but they are so freaking slow.

    And they add such a surprise factor when in chase <3

    you can destroy them with pallet but i also think you can do it by locker stunning them with Head on.

    I do feel it's a nice addition to the game and like we were discussing with a friend : killers should be stronger on their home map/realm. for Nemesis it would mean more zombies, for Huntress and Trickter = more lockers + 1 hatchet/+10 knifes, Hag and Trapper could get +1 trap/harder to see for Trapper and taking longer to destroy for Hag. Things like that

    I think 2 on small maps is fine, but I think 3 on bigger maps only would be good.

    Two is plenty since it’s only a part of the killer’s power, he has plenty other tools in his arsenal imo.

    We need more zombies! I think one extra zombie should appear when a Gen is completed. 5 zombies is plenty to deal with there AI isn't great anyways. Survivor mains just don't want extra ######### to deal with and want to keep their run of dominating killers going. 2 is definitely not enough, just adapt your playstyle like killers have to do with bully squads.

    This. I know it'll never happen...but holy crap it would be awesome to see a shirtless zombie David shambling slowly towards the thirsty players that have dreams of shirtless David. They'd have to make the difficult decision to either run away...or let themselves be taken by the person they thirst for.

    Thing is the AI sucks. Thats why 2 feels like useless although 3 or more with the same AI won't change much. Its the AI what need to be tweaked. Zombies don't really help right now even if you buff them with addons.

    Just look at this pic from one of my games:

    They get stuck everywhere and suffer from an attention deficit.. shes there like "Hey pal finish that gen already, i'll warn you if the killer is coming.." 😂

    The AI needs improvement, true, but consider the following:

    At best, Nemesis is a killer whose zombies can keep 2 survivors preoccupied. With Nemesis himself, that means 3/4 survivors are busy doing something other than generators.

    At worst, Nemesis is chasing survivors alone, with his ranged attack (that, admittedly, could use improvements) that improves the more he uses it.

    More than 2 zombies would increase his power too much. AI improvements is a whole different thing.

    I know. They should have 12 at least. I mean sure nemesis can see all players at start of game, can hit over walls and pallets, and break pallets as he powers up, but why not throw in more zombies!

    Apparently zombies make a lot of issues, and the safe cap is two maximum in order to prevent even more frame rate issues

    Yeesh maybe if they decided to do the optimization they promised in march 2019 that wouldn't be an issue

    Maybe, they could still be working on it. But even then that won't guarantee it would allow more zombies

    It doesn't happen just over night or within a year haha
