Please stop the survivor hate!!!!
I'm writing this today I order to tell people on the forum to please stop the generalization and hate of all survivors. There are and have been people on this forum who express nothing but pure hatred for the opposite role and I'm asking to please stop. I'm pretty sure I shouldn't have to say this but NOT EVERY SURVIVOR IS A TERRIBLE PERSON. Seriously there are genuinely nice and kind survivors that are in the game. I feel we just have a tendency to remember the bad moments with them. Are there toxic and terrible survivors? Yes most definitely and I would even agree the it's logically mostly from the survivor side. BUT please try and remember the good survivors. I'm not toxic and I have played with other survivors that are not toxic or mean. And on behalf of all the good survivors, killers I'm sorry you have to put up with them. No one should have to put up with that.
To those on the forum that don't have this "all survivors bad" mindset, thank you for not thinking this way. And to those toxic forum members that hate all survivors please stop and thinking this way your no better then the toxic survivors. Please Stop the survivor hate.
And toxic survivors please stop being jerks to killers. It's not fun for them and they are human beings with feelings too. You guys honestly give the survivor role a bad name and stigma.

Even though survivors are enemies of us killers in the game, I treat them as our friends. Without them nor us, we wouldn't be able to play the game!

Funny, you could have made a thread raising awareness about killer issues, like how BHVR won't do anything about keys. Instead you choose to play victim and make a thread all about you. Why are survivor players so self absorbed? Would it kill them for even one second to think about the other side?

@dspaceman20 Thanks for the post! I've been reading along on this forum for a long time, but hadn't signed up here myself until the terrible update in February of this year, and generally find it quite good here, as the community here is very helpful and most are super friendly. <3
But you're right, there is so much hate that is unnecessary. Survivors hate killers and vice versa. One side needs the other to be able to play at all. And there is always a human behind the screen, which many forget.
I think it would be important if everyone played both sides to better understand why the other side acts the way they do.

I think it has something to do with the streamers. We had (and still have) some toxic streamers that give our community a really bad image.
Mainly because the fans try to mimic the toxic playstyle. Which in return ruins the game for everyone else.
It's best to see the game as pvp game. No one would complain that he got killed in CoD or LoL. But here, people take those things personally.

I think simply because the gameplay is different than other PvP games and yes, certainly because there are some streamers who exemplify it, but everyone makes the decision for themselves how they want to be.
It's not just this forum either, there are others that deal with DBD. There the hate is just as present. Partly, there is also the hatred of PC players on console players.

I got to be honest, as a survivor main, I hate on the other survivors more. Yes, killers can be toxic, facecampers, and obnoxious. However. They generally can’t compare to the salad of trolls, potatoes, and morons that I’ve been playing alongside today.

I hear what you're saying, and I think the vitriol in the community is silly. This is only a video game, after all.
In the above video there is an exchange between the streamer and a survivor... Lots of entitlement coming from the survivor player.
I've noticed on this forum the same thing, but it comes from folks who "main" both sides. It does not make any sense. Just play the game and keep it moving; strangers don't owe you anything and we are all playing to win.
Humility would go a long way in reducing the "toxicity" of the community.

The PC vs Console players is also ridiculous.
Console players are just as good and as bad as PC players.
I've played as solo with cross players that could keep a forever Freddy busy and everyone escaped.

I think part of the problem is that toxic survivors feel safe, if not encouraged, to act the way they do by the community. The other survivors either join in or support the other toxic player. Hell, even the devs said "don't worry, you can still T-bag" when they did the animation rework. Toxic streamers (even some fog whisperers so I hear) are also a large source of toxicity as their followers monkey see monkey do and just spread it more. If the fog whisperer thing is true, we really shouldn't have toxic players basically endorsed by the team behind the game.
If we want the game to change on the toxicity regard we really need to start viewing toxic behavior as not ok as a community and call out people when they're being toxic including on our own teams. On both sides.
I really don't understand why survivors are just allowed to be toxic the majority of the time and for the most part no one really steps up and says "yeah you shouldn't be doing that" besides the killer(s) on the receiving end.
Unfortunately I really doubt that's going to happen 😔 Thank you being one of the ones to speak out about it as well.

Hello. I'm a nice Survivor. I'm doing my best to help my teammates without being mean to the Killer.
I know sabo is a tactic, but I don't use it... As I think it's not something Killers like. As I don't like camping nor tunneling. I also don't use keys, unless I have a challenge tied to it—and then, I use it after the Exit Gates are opened.
I'm not judging people who use the tactics I avoid, but I'm thinking about the fact I don't like two strategies from the Killer side... So I don't use two strategies from my own side. I mean, does it make sense? 🙈
