Indeed! And it is not a surprise, actually. Despite not being a top-tier killer, Old Freddy was extremely fun to play as!

Most certainly, my friend. Probably the most underrated killer in Dead by Daylight's history.
And I will tell you, I would do anything to play him on release. I started playing in 2018, over a year after his first nerf. But I've seen countless videos of his original power and they've impressed me. It was everything I already loved about him, just a little bit better.

He's probably one of the worst killers. His knives aren't that effective and his movement speed make him worse off than most killers. So, it's probably not you, but the trickster himself that isn't great

Trapper. There were Trapper wraith and Billy only on release and trapper is the only one who can deal with infinites so yeah not much choice

Doctor. I'm a sucker for characters with electric powers.
I started playing DBD sometime before plague was added. I tried out all the killers I had but doctor was the only one that I had any real success with. Before his rework he was alot weaker and clunky but I stuck with him.

When I started the game in September 2016, there were 4 Killers: Trapper, Wraith, Billy and Nurse.
Hillbilly was the most appealing to me. I knew the difficulty level of Nurse back then so I never even tried her for quite a long time. And I didn't care that much about Wraith or Trapper.
But when Myers came out, like 1 month later I became a Myers Main for a pretty damn long time until I started playing like different Killers.

Ghostface, he made me play killer for the most part. Now my main is Nurse, sometimes executioner and probably nemesis in the future.

Mine was Hillbilly back at launch of the game. I still like playing him from time to time. I just tend to play most of the killers now except Nurse and Huntress. I have always been bad with them.

The first killer I played with any regularity was Myers, mainly because I loved the potential for jump-scaring survivors and being able to insta-down people (though, as inexperienced as I was, I wasn't using him properly at the time). I moved over to Doctor for a little while after seeing the impossible skill check build, and I thought he'd be fun to run, but I wasn't "maining" anyone in particular.
But one day, I played against a Pig and thought, "She seems fun -- I need to try her". A few matches with her, and she stole my heart away -- now, no matter what killers I dabble with, Piggie was and is my first true killer "main". I always gravitate back to playing her, and she's the killer I'm best with and understand the most how to use.

Billy. I grinded Leatherface to get BBQ and hated every minute of it, then switched to Billy as soon as I had that perk. Was playing on console at the time.
Then I switched over to PC and just could not get the hang of using Billy using mouse and keyboard. Then the Billy nerf / Leatherface buff happened and now Leatherface is my favorite.
