How many people play on console?
Is there a direct way i can see how many people are playing on console because i for sure know that the player counts for PC and other platforms are separated.

In most crossplay games, console playerbase is often the largest one.
But in DBD its probably not the case, otherwise they would optimize their game years ago.
But I would like to see numbers how many players are on PC in %

They optimized it for PS5.

I'm not sure, but I'd wager at least 6.

Good to know, since 85% of console gamers are still on last gen.

xbox player here

I'm betting PS player base is the largest one. DBD was free for PS plus members in August 2018. There was 34 million PS plus subscribers then, even if only one percent of them plays DBD weekly that's 340 000 PS players, which is almost 49 000 daily players. Add those who actually bought the game themselves and add XBOX and Switch players on top of that.
Console player base is a lot larger than PC player base. The devs have no excuse for why they haven't optimized the game for consoles and low-end PCs. They have the proof that tens of us have provided in videos and describing what actions and events trigger the problems in performance. It's about time that they ACTUALLY acknowledge it. Not like they did very vaguely in their Q&A in last September that didn't even answer to our concerns. And NOTHING has happened since then.
I'm fortunate enough to have gotten PS5 but I will still stand by my console comrades to the end.

Short answer is no, as such info although known by the devs cannot be released due to UEA stuff with Sony/Microsoft etc.
In rough figures altogether consolers outnumber PCrs, passing them towards the end of last summer. No doubt lockdown and the base game being free very often on GamePass and PSN contributed.
PlayStations are by far the greater chunk, with Xbox far behind and everything else after that.
If anyone can actually find verifiable numbers please post em I'd like to see them as well.

I would presume it’s console, more specifically playstation. However I play on PS5 and I hardly ever get other playstation players in my lobbies, when I play killer maybe every now and again i’ll get 1 playstation survivor and when I play survivor it’s nearly always 3 cross-play teammates.

Same, it's very rare to play against a PS killer or even have PS survivors in one lobby.

I play on ps4 with crossplay off. I have no problem getting into lobbies on either side because so many turned crossplay off.

*raises fist*
DOZENS!!!

Ps5 and Series X here, also Switch but not touching that again until it becomes more optimised and more playable or until the super nintendo switch comes out (please call it that Nintendo)
Crossplay on all but Switch. It works mostly smoothly on the newer consoles.

I mean, my PS4 is optimized 😂
But no. Console is definitely larger, since cross play was mainly made to shorten PC queue times.
The devs probably just don't know how to optimize the game on console.

Ps4
9/10 games im the only console player on the match.

That’s because the majority of console players turn cross-play off

I'm on the PS5, and while the group of players I have to choose from to SWF with as are all console save for one, when I play killer, the majority of players in any given match are crossplay While I know that there may be XBox and Switch players in that grouping, my assumption is that they're PC players.
I feel for my fellow console players who are still dealing with the limitations of the game on PS4.

I play on switch but you betcha beehind I’m perma switching to PC once cross progression is enabled(hoping in June)

Sony doesnt allow it.

How do you know? Genuine question...
I play on Xbox. Mostly killer. More often than not, I get matched up with 4 cross-play players (they have the globe symbol). How do I know what platform they are on? I'd love to know if I was playing again PC or PS players.

I play on console mostly. I have a PS5 so I don't have any of the framerate issues that so many complain about. however I do know when I'm outmatched because someone is on PC. This happens especially when I play killer. The moments survivors make are insane and you can tell they can't be done with a controller. The one thing I wish they would change would be to even out movement speeds with console and PC. it's very easy to tell when you're being outplayed because of the platform you're playing on.

PS4 Pro.

They dont have the feature to show what platform a player is on.

I thought not. I always assumed that most of the cross-play people I see are on PS.
Would be interesting to know the split of players over the different platforms though.

There's enough console players to que up in either role with cross-play off and get a match in a couple of minutes at anytime at any rank

Oh yasssssss my Xbox1 says nerf them into the ground please!!

You can find Playstation numbers on gamestat.com, but it's not nearly as detailed as the Steam charts. Also, I have not found anywhere that shows any other platforms, but here's hoping I just overlooked.

I do and considering that x box has this game on game pass similar to ps plus I believe there would be more console players
I play with cross play off and rarely ever run into the same players

I thought the globe icon meant PC players. 9/10 lobbies are 4 globe icons and me without.

I'm a switch player meaning no endgame chat and I'm not sure if I should be happy or sad about that
