Are there things you hate so much, regardless of their rare occurrence, you’ll use obscure perks?
I use Sole Survivor a lot.
No. I do NOT want team mates to die.
So why do I use it? Amongst other reasons, the biggest reason is I hate, hate, HATE Myers, Wraith, and Pig’s wall hack add ons. I know they’re rare. I experience them in matches only occasionally. But when I am in a match without using some sort of aura blocking, these add ons drive me CRAZY 🥴
Sole Survivor isn’t a magic ticket in these instances, but 1 token at least reduces the severity of my chances being next to die once the team has been reduced from 4 to 3 survivors.
I almost never take off Visionary anymore. I hate wondering where the last 3 gens are, especially on indoor maps. But a better reason I use it for is to know where I shouldn’t lead chases, in case there are teammates trying to repair it.

If I face one infectious fright Nurse, I instantly will equip calm spirit and keep it on for like the next five matches
I hate infectious fright Nurse with a passion

I run I'm all ears on almost all my killers, except twins, i have trouble with keeping line of sight, and it helps me with midgame's
0 -
Same.
1 -
I actually find I’m All Ears pretty common when I’m survivor, especially against Deathslinger or PH.
Another reason I use Sole Survivor. Just 1 token and if I’m in a chase, I’m All Ears is already countered.

I use calm spirit if I go against infectious fright it's a curse and I get killers that run it every game lol
1 -
Shadowborn on Nurse for the rare moment I get 360d out of a blink.
1 -
I always, ALWAYS run Detective's Hunch.
I rarely see NOED anymore, but that doesn't change anything. I am so, SO sick of matches where I do four bones and then I get punished with a NOED facecamp because the other three grease monkeys on my team didn't do one.
That said, this is going to change soon. Now that Counterforce is being added into the game, I'm running it in every single Survivor match I play from now on.
Speaking of which, I just want to put it out there: Counterforce is absolutely busted. Small Game might as well not exist anymore.
2 -
Detective's Hunch because I despise Devour Hope. The past few weeks, it's like every second Killer runs it, and just proxy camps/tunnels until it pops. Especially Wraiths and Tricksters.
0 -
I always run either Detective's Hunch or Small Game in fear of NOED and Devour Hope. It seems like every killer I go against runs one of those two perks.
2 -
The game I just had is exactly why I use Blood Warden. It almost certainly costs me more games than helps since it's common it never kicks on but there is no better Justice than this...
You'd think a Twitch Streamer would know better than to mock a killer when the gates are open as I'm hooking someone but this Streamer did not get the memo I guess.
But hey, jump through that window a bunch to try to mock the killer. It just let's me know exactly where you're at as the black spikes of doom seal you in...

I use Wake Up a lot. Calm Spirit, Detective's Hunch. Technician. I find because of the new gen repair animations spark and give you away at a glance it's not as effective as it used to be, but I do enjoy repairing gens under the killer's nose when he has tunnel vision.
Wake Up is so great. I cannot EVER, EVER be bothered to know where both gates are and remember it, and I hate trying to open a gate and then the killer starts breathing down your neck. It makes the difference.
At a high level killers watch crows fly on the open maps. It's a very underrated stealth tool.
Killer side sometimes I just use random perks just to spice it up. That one perk that counters you? Yeah I'm running it for no reason.
2 -
Wake Up is a favourite of mine too.
I easily get turned around if I’m being chased for long periods either just before, or just after EGC. I hate the panic of “oh great, I’ve lost the killer but now where was one of those gates?!”
1 -
Not an obscure perk, but I run spinechill mainly for the Coxcombed Clapper Wraiths, which have been a common occurrence for me recently.
Also if I'm running into a lot of Doctor's, I will run Calm Spirit just to get another killer.
1 -
I always run small game because when I don’t I have to deal with Undying/Ruin or Devour Hope.
I always run Calm Spirit because when I don’t I have to deal with Infectious Fright.
I always run spine chill because when I don’t I run into Myers or Ghostface.
I always run Iron Will just because.
1 -
Lightborn when i see flashlights in the lobby. I will purposely stare at them while i pick a survivor up and they go all weird lol.
3 -
I run Spine Chill so I never get snuck up on by a stealth killer or someone with Tinkerer.
0 -
For me, it’s use isn’t so much about them sneaking up on me. I just like to know when they’re staring at me gaining their power.
0 -
I run it almost 100% of the time because I absolutely hate being blinded. I also love breaking a pallet and having some smug survivor waiting there shining a flashlight. You can almost see the fear in their eyes when they realize it's not working.
5 -
God I do not like Insidious bubba I've faced only 3 in my entire career in this game but jeez. I've always run kindred and bt when playing survivor since im solo q a lot but the one time i wanted to try a fun meme build i get basement bubba.
The build if anyone was wondering was BT, No Mither, Unbreakable, and Soul Guard I was the person who was like " I'll save you Meg in the basement" I saved her but no one else had bt so you can tell how that went. The idea I had was the bubba would chase the Meg and try and down her then I could get up and take a hit with Soul Guard. He didn't chase her. I died

That used to be stuns for me, i couldn't get rid of Enduring.
Now i actually got rid of it, but stuns are still a terrible thing to me.
0 -
Detective's Hunch.
Because I hate running around like a headless chicken trying to find either gens or totems.
0 -
Bodyblocking and Survivors wiggling out. I hate it so much I run Agitation/Iron Grasp/Mad Grit/Starstruck - all of them - on most every Killer I play. I have not regretted it ever.
2 -
Ever get forcibly sucked into the pallet as the survivor drops it?
0 -
Reveal mechanics.
I use Distortion sometimes.
1 -
I think distortion would be better than sole survivor in that case since those aura addons are pretty short range so you wont get value until all your team is dead.
0 -
Unbreakable.
I actually rarely get slugged. Maybe 1 in every 20 matches. However, if it happens, I have UB on standby. It's the most unused perk in my loadout but I'll never get rid of it. The passive recovery bonus is nice, though, and I get use out of that.
1 -
No.
0 -
I always keep calm spirit on. I really hate infectious fright.
0 -
Honestly? Ever since the nerf, I have never taken off DS. I hate hard-tunnelers with a burning passion.
0 -
No. Except for Myers 32m range one, All I need is 1 token to dramatically improve my chances of eluding them, permanently.
I’d have all 3 Distortion tokens eaten by before the 3rd gen is repaired against these add ons.
0 -
Uh...
Devour Hope only gets tokens if the Killer is far away from the rescue.
... Do Survivors consider that STILL too close to the hook??? LMAO...
1 -
Stop getting caught. Every hit a Survivor takes is user error.
Are you using an exhaustion perk? If so, are you using it properly?
(Example: Sprint Burst is a great perk. However, sitting on a gen until the Killer is in arm's reach, or walking in a circle until the Killer is right on you, and then breaking into a sprint... These are not good uses of Sprint Burst. And yet, I see it probably EVERY game.)
0 -
They’re saying the killer remains outside of the 24m range to get tokens, but close enough to immediately return to the hook when a save happens. It’s a vile strategy.
2 -
But 24m is huge lol. You can certainly get to the nearest pallet/window/etc.
0 -
So... Huntress stands on a hill, hatchet raised, 24m away and bam. Deathslinger stands just far enough, and aims, waiting for the unhook.
Spirit goes just far away enough, waits, and zips back in an instant. Same with Wraith, but oh yeah. I'm sure the freshly unhooked, injured survivor just has to GIT GUD™ , amirite?
1 -
Deathslinger couldn't make a 24m shot.
Huntress couldn't capitalize on an instadown unless the savior doesn't have BT.
Other than that, it's cheap, yeah
0 -
I play Solo queue. Take a guess how many times I've been unhooked by randoms who don't have BT? Hell, I'm lucky if they come save me at all before struggle lol.
0 -
Deathslinger only needs to move 6m to be within range upon an unhook.
A huntress won’t be getting the insta downs, but she’ll be getting her stacks.
1 -
This is why I like Self Preservation. In many cases the rescuer is getting hit first during the rescue, meaning Self Preservation gives me a slight chance without BT if I can reach LoS blockers.
1 -
I realise the user has been banned, but “stop getting caught” is utterly nonsensical. This isn’t a PvE game.
If it were at all possible that survivors would never EVER get hit because of a certain strategy, all survivors that want to win will use said strategy, and then the game could become wholly unplayable for Killers. As survivor, you WILL get hit at some point. The Killer has to have a solid chance at winning the game to, you know.
I just hate killers that go out of their way to chase me straight off the hook, even sometimes abandoning another chase to do so. BT typically does very little in that scenario.
2 -
When Iron Will triggers me into a certain point I'll use Stridor for quite a while.
Often when I down someone there is no hook nearby most of the time, it makes me wanna take Agitation.
When I get Survivors who glue onto me constantly, abusing my small FoV, I'll take Shadowborn.
I am not Perk reliant so I'll take what makes me more comfy at that time.
I don't have that issue to much as Survivor. Actually I do. I use Self Care/Botany so I don't have to follow that Claudette behind a rock at the corner of the map to heal. But I mostly use it for healing after farming protection hits with Wglf.
