For The Last Place You Look, does Appraisal count as a search through a chest?

Or can you only search through each chest once, and then it doesn't count? Given that it says "Unlock" and not "Search" I'm guessing it doesn't. (Side note: I thought Appraisal was called Hoarder, and man was I confused that Kate didn't have Hoarder as a perk.)

Not anymore, but that wasn’t true during the last rift. I completed the challenge super fast last time because of Appraisal. I guess they decided that that would be too easy. Even so, with Plunderers and a few coin offerings I was still able to complete it in two games.
