Which side do you think is the most entitled?

When we talk about changes I think that killers feel entitled to demand changes, but generally I find that survivors are more entitled. But I admit that only I meet more entitled survivors since there are generally more survivor mains than *killer mains.

    Well said.

I'll just add that playing a certain side doesn't make someone better or worse of a person. Humans gonna humans.

Survivors asked for more changes and generally benefit from more changes than killers do; killers ask for bigger changes. A lot of the game no matter how competitive we make it out to be is centered around being a fun experience rather than peak esports play. The game needs both sides to function, but Survivors have more overall control imo. A lot of times it feels like Killers are balanced more so around creating fun gameplay for survivors rather than people who play that killer.

What happened to Legion is a perfect example of that.

Survivors. because the survivor playerbase is bigger.

% wise is basically the same... because entitled people aren't drawn to either role in particular.

    On the forums? Killers

    In game? Both equally

I really only ever see in end game chats, survivors being entitled. The worst I can recall seeing a killer is blame the loss on SWF (even though I and at least one other person were solo).

It's not common and I can easily go nights without seeing any sort of entitlement. Though last night was kind of funny getting called a "gen camper" and survivors complaining that I was trying.

Both are equally entitled. Someone that plays more survivor will say killer, someone that plays more killer will say survivor. Both ask for dumb nerfs and buffs. Both think there's some rule book the other should follow. Bother think the other one is more toxic.

I think both sides are entitled. However since there are more survivors than killers, they take the biggest slice of that pie.

I think both sides can be very entitled and equally so killers want easier 4ks and survivors want more escapes it's a 50/50 thing but I must admit survivors do act more entitled in the fact of posts on the forums.

Hwat they play doesn't matter. The most entitled side is the onslaught of players that throw a tantrum whenever an element is added/changed that takes away their perceived iWin button and forces them to... y'know actually think when playing

Survivors you meet in game are far more likely to complain to you (either as a teammate or a killer) than Killers, but Killers are more likely to complain on the forums. I'd say both sides are pretty equal overall. I feel like killers complain on forums because they're outnumbered by survivors in game, while survivors are more likely to complain directly to the people they blame for their loss because survivors outnumber killers.

Both sides cry about everything, get over it. Every game has idiots that cry about this or that. Best to just ignore those people.

  • sulaiman
    sulaiman Member Posts: 3,219

I think its the one-side. Those who play both sides usually have - in my opinion - more valid complains, and seek real balance, since a change might affect them both ways.

    To be honest, killers.

Survivors can absolutely be entitled little scumbags but killers do it more and far worse.

Most Survivors have specific rules that killers are "forced" to follow, but entitled killer mains take those "rules" as a personal attack on every survivor. Acting like they're better than you because they slug as nurse or camp and nod their head like they just won the superbowl.

Treating survivors like dirt because entitled survivors treat you like dirt doesn't fix any issues and isn't going to make people like you.

I don't care how you play but don't act like you're Tom Brady when you slug for a 4k at 5 gens

Survivors, by a small margin. The sheer number of entitled survivor mains mens they tend to form much larger bubbles of absolute ridiculousness that feed each other until finally they decide that Wraith is OP and unfair. I know, certain large groups of survivor mains actually believe that. Not add-ons, Wraith. Then there's the ones that insist slowdown perks are even remotely comparable to the survivor meta, when in actual fact they aren't even remotely necessary to beat even the greatest of Nurses, it's actually info sharing that's the true must-have and Exhaustion perks and free second chances just make the already simple survivor experience even easier.

Not that killer mains are much better. I want to drag them through the torment and hell that is months and months of the sweatiest survivors you can find without seeking out tournaments, then have them look me in the eye and say that "genrushing" is 3 gens in 3 minutes.

That's not genrushing, that's a bloody holiday. In a sleepy seaside fishing town where everything seems to slow down and relax. And you have drinks with little umbrellas.

Both sides are equally entitled. For every remove swf thread, there's a remove Bubba thread. For every devs cater to killer threads, there's an equal amount of devs cater to survivor threads.

I'd say good survivors don't support baby survivors entitlement as much as good killers support a baby killers entitlement.

Survivors. I've been playing multiplayer games for years, ranging from fps, poker, racing sims, the dark souls series but from my personal experience and what i see, the survivor community is the worse I've ever seen. Is the killer side better? Mmm...there are some gems out there for sure.

Both are. Simple as that. No one cares about your entitlement. Enjoy the game, I guess it’s hard to ask for entitled players

edit: I’m talking to entitled players.

There are no sides. This entire line of thinking is evidence of fuzzy thinking. We are all just PLAYERS and most of us play both roles. As PLAYERS we all want the game to be as roughly balanced as possible. Please leave this false dichotomy nonsense in the garbage can where it belongs.

    I'm a survivor main.

I readily recognize that, generally speaking, survivors are the most entitled.

convinced he's a bait troll it's literally survivor main stereotypes put into one guy

  • miketheratguy
    miketheratguy Member Posts: 2,719

I've actually had several people on this forum tell me that I'm playing wrong by trying to avoid interactions with the killer, as if it says in the game's nonexistent instruction manual that running past the killer and playing tag is rule number five. I play conservatively and it's become quite tiresome to hear killer mains talk about how I'm making their game not fun because in their estimation I just "crouch" or "hide".

So I need to revise my answer. In gameplay experience and general comments I've seen on the forums, survivors seem the most entitled. But, again in my own experience, it's the killer mains who are the most fervent and aggressive about their opinions.

These are all just broad, subjective analyses anyway.

I know that is probably more an sarcastic line, but still... If bhvr takes every fun element out of the game, just because someone crys over it, nobody should be surprised if more and more players play for the best wins possible, because they have nothing else left.

And that counts for boths sides. Many reworks and nerfs in the past have gone too far, for both sides.

Imo, this game need abilities and perks that sometimes can feel op but not necessary lead to a match domination. So that the people can have fun, without that it really matters (if a certain abilitie or perk needs not opness in form that it wins matches. Chases or other small parts of the game yes, matches no).

I don't know in four years I've been told how I should play by hundreds of survivors. It's pretty rare a killer complains about my gameplay in comparison.
