Why are swf lying on in game chat and say their solo?
Literally 3 times this weekend. I pull up their stream afterward and they’re each playing a 4 man(one 3 man) swf with comms. Like the whole endgame chat with one was talking about how badass soloQ team they have
why is this a thing?

Does it matter? If they're lying to themselves or their stream it's obvious (and cringe). It changes nothing for you regardless.
5 -
Because they're stupid ?
5 -
Probably the same reason people lie about not stream sniping....
8 -
Whether they're swf or not doesn't make a difference, why even ask them?
13 -
I've been randomly matched into lobbies I've had friends in before. It's possible.
2 -
Im not saying entitled SWFs are never pretending that they are solos...but....
...as i see, most of the times, entitled killermains are too entitled to check the player profiles, at least....before they pull out the "OMGitsanSWF" card...
....after giving an awfully weak performance...
I literally play soloQ only, but i get accused playing SWF a lot...
12 -
Its because people know SWF gives a large advantage and are too ashamed to say they won because of said advantage.
Its just kinda funny yet very very sad watching a post game swf lobby explode into anger when I simply say: Hi SWF.
3 -
Because they don't want to admit the competitive edge, i.e. want to look better than they are in fact.
5 -
Same, and some of them call me liar when i tell them that i was actually playing solo. Even when they see that i was running Bond, Kindred and Better Together. 🤷
3 -
Because they're just one of those toxic streamers who like to talk crap to the killers with their "friends" and give other people who stream a bad name.
1 -
Literally same. You make good plays like bodyblocking for someone or peeling for the guy on death hook and suddenly all four players in the game must be in a SWF right? No way regular solo queue players could possibly be good at the game and have keen game sense.
4 -
Dont want to face abuse from killers possibly because they played with their friends.
4 -
And u have need to ask them this why? To feel less bad about win/lose? How does it affect you? Y'all overthinking too much
3 -
It's normally an ego thing, but it may be worth asking yourself why it matters and what does it prove to you.
There's little to be gained from confronting them on that. Focus on what you can learn from the trial and aim to improve your game.
3 -
I suppose you lost badly, asked them in chat they denied it and you went to look at all their profiles afterwards for a sense of validation or justification as to why you lost?
I've been accused of being SWF several times by killers who screw up in chases or when I do something altruistic.
3 -
I don't buy this sorry :D
4 -
I do it because it's funny :/
My friends list is public. If I stream, it's very evident in about 2 seconds I'm with friends. If you're going to check my stream out anyway, why bother asking? Just search it, or look at the friends list.
If you can be that hurt by someone saying they're solo when they're in a SWF for a laugh then you really, really need to lay on some grass. It really doesn't matter.
3 -
Why are you stalking everyone you play with
1 -
I’ve been in the same scenario but that’s not what happened here.

Because they had ttv in there name.
I never asked, some of them literally started congratulating each other and putting on a show. To check my own skill, I checked their stream to see if I was just making terrible reads since a lot of them had ttv in their name.
you guys are making lots of assumptions.

Then why put on a show no one asked for?
0 -
I don’t agree with stream sniping either.
0 -
i can't tell if you're asking why friends would congratulate each other or why twitch streamers would be streaming live on twitch, but both questions are equally as stupid.
2 -
Oh ok so we’re making personal attacks now. Nice.
the show I was talking about was endgame chat. Why make a fuss there when you can just use your comms to celebrate?
also Why can’t you read the post completely before commenting?

How was calling a question stupid a personal attack? A personal attack would be if I were to single out your username or something. For the record, I have not done this.

Why does it matter? If it bothers you that badly, close the chat.

I did. I fail to see your point here bestie.

Talking in chat has been illegal since 1803 and I shall be reporting you to Millie Bobby Brown with immidiate effect.
2 -
If their profiles are completely public obviously they don't really care about trying to hide it, they're probably just messing around or trying to mess with you. If they actually wanted to hide it their friends lists wouldn't be publically visible.
3 -
Why even answer it seriously? I get asked if I'm in a 4-man when I'm solo or duo, I answer honestly and get told I'm lying anyway despite having a public friends list. Yes, clearly me and the blendettes who let me get to second stage and almost die are an established tournament team, the coordination and synergy between us all is unparalleled.
5 -
They're just born liars.
1 -
I've never seen this occur. It's more common for me to see killers say a group of survivors are SWF when they're not because they are upset that they lost to solos.
4 -
honestly who cares. not trying to sound rude but is it really that big a deal??
1 -
It kind of does, because people do that when they're not live and have hidden friends lists (it gets pretty obvious they're together when they play like they are and you get matched together multiple times). It's just another way those... I don't even know what to call them, unironic swf-deniers? It's just another way of spreading misinformation that ######### over solo que like a spiked pole dipped in battery acid and wrapped in rusty barbed wire.
I don't know why people do it, I really don't. There's a world of difference between making a claim that half a second of investigation disproves, and going out of your way to make sure that everyone you're with appears to be solo.

Some people are just salty when they lose and prefer to believe they were outplayed because they were against a swf group rather than a bunch of randoms. But it really is obvious when its a swf group because the coordination is just too perfect and it just isn’t possible to cover up. Recently I got into a debate with a person that reported me for camping. I was a rank 19 killer playing against equal rank survivors that clearly should have been much higher. Immediately he pulled his friend into the discussion when I told him that, but STILL denied swfing. It was ridiculous. One of them even confessed that they get together on a weekly basis, but nope, NOT an swf group. Lol. Pathetic.

Yep. A lot of killers accuse players of being in an SWF even if they aren't. I had a killer face camp me in the basement a few days because he thought I was friends with the other guys (I was solo). He was very salty.
