Thanks for the free weekend!! I guess.
I owned this game for long time time and have many hours in. I fricken love this game. It entertains me every single day and is by far the best bang for your buck. And when I come across the occasional hacker I do my part and record and report. But since yesterday i have recorded 14 hackers. In no way am i joking about this. I have all their steam profiles. Now would it be pointless to upload all these vids? And report them? because this is the free weekend and 99.9% of the hackers I caught are probably just taking advantage of the free weekend. .....

I thankfully haven't experienced any cheaters so far, and I hope it stays that way. Being up in the high ranks sure helps! Oh, and also! Make sure to wait at least 40 seconds in a lobby before readying up, because the anticheat does a check in the lobby. If it fails to validate, the player gets kicked ^^

Sorry I misspoke. In looking at time stamps it was 4 days of recording 12 hackers not 2 days

Not to mention :
They are actually working on giving perks to newcomers level 1 characters and make a new tutorial. But they did choose to make a free week-end BEFORE, which is very questionnable;1 -

So it follows that it's not affecting the free weekend players and now's as good a time as any. Rank Reset mania lasts for a few days, a week at the most. By now, the people still at Rank 20/19 with the newbies are the people they'd always be playing with. It's not like they're running up against recently-demoted red rank elites.

Personally I'm trying to do my part in welcoming new players. As killer If i notice people clearly brand spanking new to the game I immediately tone down my skill, where I still hook and down them, but maybe I miss my strikes a bit more or get looped really easily or forget I saw someone attempting to hide. Then I hope to chat with them.
That said I do hope people enjoy and pick up this game, is such an amazing game and I'm thankful it exists. But that's me coming from a horror movie fan background.0
