Let's talk about toxicity
Toxic: Hacking, wishing death, sickness, etc. on a person that you lost against in the endgame chat or messages for console.
Not toxic: Running perks, slugging, camping, tunneling, running the killers and add-ons you want, not giving hatch, hitting on hook, flashlight saving, flashlight clicking, teabagging, gesturing, any techs, looping, SWF, bringing the items you want, using keys, bodyblocking, and unhooking near the killer with BT.

I'm fairly certain that hitting on hook and teabagging is indeed "toxic". And I'm pretty sure they hacking is just cheating, which may be toxic, but kind of eschews the meaning of the term.
Course "toxic" is a moronic catchall word anyway.

Would you consider streamers berating and mocking their oppoonents as 'toxic'?
To be honest, I'm gonna stop using that word, it's lost all meaning - I'd refer to people who do that kind of thing as unpleasant and rude people.

"wow he used dead hard what a blah blah blah"

Toxic is defined as someone going out of their way to ruin somebody else's fun. I'd say teabagging & hitting on hook definitely goes in that category. Everything else depends on who you ask.

I'd agree with this, mostly. Technically, anything from teabagging, light-clicking, face-camping etc.. all serves a purpose for mind games or tactics. Sometimes, it's a distraction to protect others, or a way to rile up the opposition into making errors.
However, some in-game actions - such as waiting to teabag a killer at the open exit gate, knowing you're escaping, or working with a killer to take down other survivors - are also toxic in the form of unsportsman-like behaviour.
It's important to separate those deliberate acts away from actions during the trial though. If there is still a trial to be had, and no cheating is occuring, anything within the boundaries of the game is just playing the game.

Peronsally I wouldn't. I've had multiple TTVs in my lobbies and I've gone to their streams after the game to say GG to them and then watch the vod. Of course there's times they will say stuff similar to this and call me whatever, but I just see it as a heat of the moment thing most of the time. You can tell if someone is just saying stuff in the heat of the moment and if someone is genuinely being a pos. Had some guy calling me a trash console killer in their stream after I had killed them so I didn't even bother saying anything. Most of the time though they're actually really chill and don't mean what they say.

The problem with this is that you can't definitevely proclaim any one aspect of gameplay to be toxic or not, as it is a completely subjective concept. What is toxic, or offensive to me, might be perceived entirely different by you.
You aren't the arbiter of toxicity my friend.

For me it's all about the intention. If I hit someone on hook to get them off balance or to DC with the intentions of winning the game, then that is a questionable strategy but not toxic. If I do it just to mess with players and don't care if it makes me win or not then it's toxic. But toxic is just a word it will mean different things for different people.

100% this. It's definitely subjective because somebody might think camping is toxic and somebody else might not. For me, as you mentioned, it depends on both the intention and the circumstances.

With the flashlight click you can use it as a distraction to get a killer away from a injured teammate I've done this plenty of times

Yeah I understand your point, you're not wrong.
It's just a shame there's BHVR sanctioned content creators who behave like that, people who are meant to set good examples yet they berate their opponents on a frequent basis. It's okay to get a bit heated about frustrating matches but some of the ones I've seen take it a bit too far.

No, it's not.
I don't think many killers start a match with the mindset of ruining someone else's day. There are a few, but they're a minority. Most are just applying pressure.

The problem is, it's not always possible to read the intention behind a particular strategy - especially if a Rift challenge, achievement, or daily ritual might be easier to achieve by using that strategy
Which is why I usually default to "there's no meaning behind it". And if I can't tell myself that there's no meaning behind it and start taking it personally, I realize I'm not in the right mental headspace and turn the game off.
Frankly, I think the fact people keep playing pissed off when they start taking things personally is a lot of the problem. McCote's advise to "Go do something else" might be meme'd to death - but he isn't wrong.

It is, you know that the player getting camped is not enjoying it. If you can’t apply pressure without these toxic strategies you really need to get better

I love shake my head as killer. I love hit survivor on hook.
I love t-bag killer, i love point killer. I love clicky killer. For that if killer will tunnel me, i am okey for that.
I do not think that's all toxic because all of them are just game mechanics. Mechanics can not be toxic.

Exactly! Alongside repeated vaulting or tea-bagging during a chase, it's distracting the killer to help other survivors escape. Remember that scene in "Aliens" where Ripley shouts "Get away from her, you #########!" to distract the Queen Xenomorph from Newt? It's the same principle.
Just like a killer uses psychological torture, or makes their prey have mistakes, in order to get their way. Freddy Krueger was quite apt at psychologically torturing the kids into making rash decisions, like the lady who died via injection nails - Freddy effectively toyed with her.
It's about separating tactics within the game to being respectful afterwards. Imagine if Rafael Nadal wins Wimbledon, but then just pulls his shorts down and farts in the opponent's face, or Kasparov teabagging after winning a game of chess. It's just moronic.

Agreed except on the death sickness point, if i can make someone rage so much they wish i died or get cancer i consider it a badge of honour. Its just words after all, rage filled delicious words. Feed me your rage lol.

Precisely! The survivor might do this to force killer to make mistakes, or because they think it's better for the team if killer chases you, then you do this to win not to be toxic. It's a strategy. If someone is out to kill you then you have every right to use "dirty" tricks to survive. Same with the player who takes on the role as a killer you have every right to kill survivors in any way possible it's your job. But when your intentions is not winning or losing just messing with the player to ruin their experience then yeah it's toxic no matter if it's camping or teabagging.

I feel that is a personal choice. However, you should not expect anybody you don't know to live by those rules. If you feel good playing in what you view is a more honorable or nice matter - most of us are okay with it. What we take exception to is getting upset when others don't share the same attitude as you do.
Choosing to not get upset when people when people play in a way you preceive is mean is just that, a CHOICE. Such as right now right now, it's a personal choice of mine to accept what you said as an honest question. However, I COULD interpret it as a veiled attempt to socially shame others into playing your way.

I somewhat agree. Sure it can be hard to determine if they are being toxic but there are some legitimate cases you can determine if they are being toxic. If the killer tunneled and camped you and only you but let the other survivors farm and survivor you can assume that they were using the strategy to be toxic. So while yes in some instances it is hard to tell if they are being toxic but there are some cases we can definitely tell.

I understand you. But there are so many other non toxic ways you can do this, take a protection hit to get the killers attention, usually works. Go for the unhooker instead to give the recently unhooked a chance to play the game and earn some points or something. I don’t understand why people just want to be so mean in this game

Excellent, you just made my point. Let me explain.
I honestly didn't mean anything behind what I said other than just using your comment as an example about "reading intentions". My intention was only to draw an example, not lump you in with a group.
And yet, you read my intentions to be far more sinister than they actually were. (unless of course, you really did understand my point and was trying to tease me by misreading me - at which point I will just say "Well played sir")
Same can be said about what anybody sees in the game.
