I still hate Asarov’s Resting place.
You just can’t beat coordinated SWF on this map with most of the killers. They’re too aggressive taking control of the centre. Once they’ve managed to achieve that and subdivide the map, it’s game over. This map always infuriates me.

I can't ######### stand this map as both sides pure resident sleeper

Azarov, Suffo pit, Wrath temple maps are broken recently.
Middle spawn 1 Gen. Then 4 Gen on Aside, 2 Gen on Bside. Killer can play on 1 side and win the game.

I hate it so much. Almost every survivor team just has me spinning my wheels on that map. It’s impossible to defend the most important central part of the map, and it’s also handing the survivors the game spending too much time trying to defend it either.
I don’t normally have an issue with SWF, but on that map SCREW COMMS!!!

No, you can’t, unless the survivors are bad. For most killers if time is spent wasted waiting around for the survivors to come to the other end you’re guarding, you have 4 survivors that are nowhere near close to death hook, and you’re left trying to run between 4 gens. Chase one, other 3 are free to repair at their leisure, and every chased survivor attempts the same thing: lead you to the other end of the map. It’s frustrating, and boring, and results in just needing to give up because it becomes a stalemate.
Its impossible. I hate this map.

Azarovs sucks for both sides. Suffocation Pit is just unfair for killers, the center usually has 3 or 4 TL tiles next to each other that an M1 killer can't navigate without stacks of bloodlust. Hope for a 3 gen, or the game is over on those maps.

I-Shaped maps generally make for a really frustrating experience in DbD overall.
Azarov's just happen to be the worst of the set due to its absolutely massive size (tied for 2nd largest map in the game) and abhorrent object placement (gens, hooks, pallets, etc).
It's probably one of DbD's least-likable maps.

My mortal enemy has always been Shelter Woods. The best part of them always adding more maps is that it decreases the chance of getting Shelter Woods.

it's pretty boring.
you have to 3gen, and the way to do it is through proxy camping. get a down, take someone to hook in the central part of one of the two sides, and proxy, defending the 3 gens on that side. entertain the middle a bit. force them to one side with the camp, get more downs, defend that one side, etc. gen regression is obviously very good in these scenarios.
it's dirty, but if they're smart, they're gonna force you to come to THEIR side with completed gens. you have to play like an ######### on either side to win, because if you 3gen as survivor/have a bad gen spread at the end as killer, winning is near impossible.
i hate this map, and hate suffo pit as well. at the very least, this map isn't as bad as suffo pit. it's more in the killer's favor when played like an ######### unless you're playing a weaker killer. suffo pit's middle is just atrociously strong for survivor. less strong middle in resting place.

Also I hate how the rework made the "main building" useless it's typically in a deadzone with one ######### window

You can't beat a cordinated team on any map unless you are great at nurse/spirit.

I can do perfectly fine with my mains on most maps. Asarov Resting Place pains me though.

Depends on what killer you play. The middle kind of acts as a chokepoint that other survivors have to go through to get the save if you hook the survivor on one side. It's honestly one of my favorite killer maps.

Ah, Azarov's Resting Place. You know, I used to love this map. It was my third favourite map in the game, only below Old Lery's and Mother's Dwelling.
It also had a very special meaning to me, as it was one of the first maps, if not THE first map, I've played on back when I first started. It was the map where I got my Adept Freddy. I loved it, both as survivor and killer.
And then the Realm Beyond came.
And look how they massacred my boy. This map, in my opinion, is butchered. Visuals are bad, the Fog is basically non-existent, the lighting is weird, and don't even get me started on the main building.
What a tragic fate for what was once a great map.

Yeah, Autohaven got butchered with the graphics update. Macmillan? I could live with it - wasn't an improvement, really, but was tolerable. Autohaven though just feels terrible now. It's too clustered and cluttered together, and most of the loops have really weird hitboxes and have loads of trash stacked on top of them. This fits the scrapyard theme, but it poses a problem when ranged killers can't use their power at most loops because very few new autohaven loops are waist-high, but survivors can see over tiles now thanks to the walls being low enough to catch the top of some killers' heads.
Don't even get me started on The Game.

Yeah, you know I hate the Realm Beyond with a passion, but Autohaven's rework is especially bad.
There is zero ambience, everything looks bad, and there are problems such as the one mentioned. Problems which didn't exist before.
And yes, we don't need to talk about The Game.

Azarov's Resting along with Suffocation Pit are definitely some of the worst designed maps in the game in my opinion.

It really depends on if you get one of those 3 gens on both sides and one in middle or 4 gens one 3 in the other. Same with Suffocation Pit.

Pick your three Generator side and then camp the middle hitting them as they try to cross over. In other words, do not stay in the side you want to defend. Fight for the bottleneck.

all I map are bad for the game (in my opinion).
Either they change all the I map completely or they change a part of it them to be less boring.

i honestly laugh anytime someone tells me the map is Killer sided, gens are spread far apart due to the I shape, the middle is 3 jungle gyms, one side has Shack and the other has what is essentially a better Shack, along side fun buses and other structures
and if you end up losing the 3 gen you lose automatically due to the gens being insanely spread out

I never had much problems with this map to be honest, not the best but not the worst. I even turned games by braindead-camping one side of the map after they made the gen in the middle, refusing to leave my 3-gen. Once you got a hook on your side it's getting tough for them. Dirty and not exactly "fun", but works. But yeah once the castle walls have fallen and they made 1 on each side, it's usually game over if you can't pressure by downing people so fast that they all have to leave gens
