Well, obviously DBD is my favourite... Or better yet, 2018 DBD is my favourite.
As for other games, I really like: GTA V, Pokemon Soul Silver, STAR WARS: Jedi Fallen Order, Red Dead Redemption 2, and this list goes on.
Call of Duty and God of War franchises are also really good, in my opinion.

That's nice to hear.

My favorite games are The entire Plant Vs Zombies trilogy (except Heroes and Battle For Neighbor Ville), Garry's Mod, Dead By Daylight, Godzilla The Game PS4, Left 4 Dead 2, Team Fortress 2, and Jurassic World Evolution.

Aside from Dead by Daylight, I'm a huge Nintendo fan (don't worry, I don't play DBD on switch) so that's where a lot of my interest lies. Some of my favorite games of all time are Super Smash Bros. Brawl (for introducing me to the series and bringing my Smash main Lucas) and Ultimate (It has Steve Minecraft), Xenoblade Chronicles, Breath of the Wild, Minecraft, Super Mario Galaxy (1 & 2), LoZ Twilight Princess, and Pokémon Black. Also love the Yakuza Series, Jet Set Radio, and
LoversRivals of Aether.3 -
DBD of course, super mario galaxy, among us, and NHL.

Monkey Island, Monster Hunter, Fire Emblem, Mount & Blade... to name a few

Quite possibly Morrowind. I had the greatest expectations waiting a year for that game (having never played an Elder Scrolls title before) and when I finally got it it still managed to surpass them. Morrowind was one of those rare games that completely changed my understanding of the capacity that video games had to immerse the player in deep, fully realized worlds.
Other lifelong favorites include Final Fantasy IV, Maniac Mansion, The Sims 3, The Forest, Monstrum, GTA San Andreas, GTA V, Mount and Blade: Warband, plus way too many more to list.

It's a toss up between Silent Hill 2 and Silwnt Hill 4: The Room.
Silent Hill 2 left a strong, emotion impression on me. That reading at the end by Mary still is the most emotive pieces of voice acting, because of how real it felt. Especially considering what hellish journey I had to take to get there. The whole game was a journey, where every subtle nuance had meaning.
Silent Hill 4: The Room was a horror that I've never experienced before or since. Outlast came close, but from my experience that sheer terror, disorientation and dream-like state was an amazing piece of art that was heavily under-rated. Even the apparent 'blandness' of Henry was actually a creative design so that the player could integrate more into the world.
Silent Hill 2 might edge Silent Hill 4: The Room, but it's damn close.

I actually don't really play many games, but I really like Skyrim, Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 8, and Friday Night Funkin'.

Friday 13th: The Game.
And I'm a older gent. Manhunt and GTA V are big favourites too.

Metal Gear Solid (Ps1)

Darkest Dungeon is up there for me.

My all time favourite game is half life opposing force. Really well made and cuts out the boring parts that made half life weaker
Favourite game at the moment besides DBD is either apex legends or payday 2

My two most favorite games of all time are the Super Mario Galaxy games, 1 and 2. It's hard to pick which one I like more.
Honorable mentions include Portal 2, A Hat in Time, Mario Kart Super Circuit/Wii/7, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Minecraft, Castle Crashers, the Gen 7 games of Pokémon (Sun and Moon, Ultra Sun and Moon), and Sonic CD.
2 -
God of War 3 is my absolute favorite, but Resident Evil Village, God of War 2018, The Last of Us Part II, God of War 2, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remakes, and Resident Evil 7 Biohazard are also up there. God of War and Resident Evil are just really good series in general.

Some of my most favorite games are Left 4 Dead, State Of Decay, Dying Light, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Resident Evil 3 remake, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 7, and Silent Hill 3.

It's gotta be Soma.
This is if I'm leaving out everything I have too much nostalgia for to evaluate fairly, though. If not, SSX Tricky and Sly Cooper really need to be in the conversation.

Hollow Knight was just *chef's kiss*
1 -
Resident Evil 7, Outlast, Dead By Daylight, Resident Evil 2, Alien: Isolation, MLB the show games.
1 -
The Resident Evil franchise easily. If I had to pick a favorite it'd be Resi 4 no contest. I've through that game countless times across many different platforms. I practically know the game inside out. Oh and it was also the first video game I ever played lol.
1 -
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Resident Evil 2 Remake
Dead by Daylight
Super Mario 64
*No particular order but these are some of my favorites
2 -
Nothing really gets close to Team Fortress 2 for me. I always keep coming back to it and I don't think I'll ever stop doing so.
But very honorable mentions go out to Fallout New Vegas, Metal Gear Solid 3, Civilization V, Dead By Daylight and Left 4 Dead (both of them). Roughly in that order if I had to make a numbered list.
2 -
I think I'm one of the few people that disliked Soma, and I played it to the end. I thought it started off well, but I ended up not enjoying it. I found the enemies more annoying than scary. I just wanted to get the game over and done with.
0 -
Ah, that's a shame. I don't think the main point of Soma was to be scary - It did have some scary sections, but the game was all about plot and atmosphere. It's kind of like DBD in that it takes place in a horror setting and it can certainly scare you from time to time, but that's also more of a secondary draw of the game. I don't mean to imply that Frictional was ignoring that side of things either, because they clearly weren't; I just mean that telling a compelling story was the game's main strength and probably the devs' biggest focus.
There's a "Safe Mode" setting for people who don't really enjoy the monster encounters but still want to experience the story and environments, so that might have made the experience better for you!

Red Dead Redemption 2
Deus Ex
Half Life 2
Fallout 4 (Fallout subset: 1,NV,3,4,2)
Diablo 1
World of Warcraft
Dead by Daylight

My favorite games are: Half life 2 for being the phenomenon when it was released, Left 4 dead 2 because its the most fun zombie shooter so far, Amnesia Dark descent for being one of the most intense and smart horror games out there, Plants vs zombies because of nostalgia, Little nightmares franchise for that Tim Burton vibes and my magnum opus Resident evil remake.

Dying light

Yeah I heard about the 'safe mode', but was quite a bit through the game at that point.
I think that's what I wanted with the game: a chance to explore and enjoy the story instead of constantly hiding etc.

Silent Hill 2 is a legitimate masterpiece. Its story is emotionally and psychologically complex, loaded with metaphors and symbolism, and presented with a grim aesthetic both visually as well as thematically. I also agree that, while people complain about the voice acting of Guy Cihi (who I felt was just fine), the acting by Monica Horgan - ALL of it (no spoilers here), but in particular Mary's letter - was outstanding. The reading of the letter was so realistic that my girlfriend at the time was crying just hearing it, despite not knowing anything about the game at all. Hell, it was impossible for ME not to get misty. Easily one of the most overlooked performances in gaming.
People who only know Pyramid Head through this game (not Cheryl, the games that she and PH are in aren't narratively linked) should really check out SH2 and see what he, and that game, are all about. Play the game, watch a walkthrough, and if absolutely nothing else read an in-depth story summary (though know that the first two options will be FAR more rewarding). Silent Hill 2 is one of the greatest games ever made.

Take out dbd and my favorite is any pokemon game. Personally been playing a lot more pokemon than dbd this last week cuz I'm recovering from wisdom teeth (which everyone made out to be this horrible awful ordeal that I'm gonna hate and yet have been completely fine).

Maneater - I love this game so much, cannot wait for the DLC. 😍
Borderlands series
Twisted Metal and Twisted Metal 2 - I like the others but these were my favorites of the bunch.
Evil Dead Regeneration and Fistfull if Boomstick
Zombies Ate My Neighbors
Haunting starring Polterguy
Witcher 3 - I love this game, part of me wants to replay it but replays of games like this just don't hold the same magic as the first play through.
Diablo 3 - I know most hated it but I enjoy it. It's a game you really don't have to think at all and sometimes it's nice to sit back and not think. 😂
Horizon Zero Dawn
Far Cry Primal - having a pet badger that attacks you if you pet it too many times makes this game a favorite just for that.
Assassins Creed Origins
Oblivion
Outer Worlds
Deadpool
Biped

What was really great was that everything was a narrative. Most games carry their story through interractions, big moments or some symbolism. Silent Hill 2 carried the story through its music, the art design and the areas you went through. Everything was so well executed, that even now the protagonist James is still ambiguous as to what kind of person he really is, which is still debated and I think that that's the long-standing power this game holds. It's not good vs evil - it's a journey. I can't accurately describe it any other way.

The original Devil May Cry and the Ninja Gaiden reboot that came out on the first Xbox.

Darn, yeah I wish they would have made that more obvious from the start! That said I don't think it was even there at launch so I'm sure there are other people in your boat.

Absolute favourite: Uncharted 4.
I also enjoyed Tomb raider quite a lot and Kingdom Hearts is love.
And recently, "it takes two" was super fun to play.
P. S. I don't really play other horror games.

In no particular order:
Outlast
Far Cry 3-5
RDR 1+2
God of War 2018
The Evil Within 1+2
DBD
Resident Evil 2 + 7
The Forest
Payday 2

Up to a certain point, my favorite games were counter strike: global offensive and dota 2. But over time, my friends and I just got tired of Valve games. At the moment I have a lot more games that I play quite often, but I'm not sure I can name at least one of them my favorite. Of the single-player games, most of all I played games from the studio From Software. Probably Sekiro for me personally remains the best of all the games of this studio. Of the MOBA genre games, I only play league of legends, but not so often. I've been wanting to find where to buy a league of legends account for a long time, but I haven't been able to find it yet. Perhaps someone can suggest a convenient service?

I have a few Metroid Prime, Zelda Majora's mask, DBD, Fall Guys, Slender, and Burnout 3

i have two very strong contenders for that role right now:
- Team Fortress 2
- Advance Wars (the entire series, excluding Advance Wars: Days of Ruin - that one just didnt really do it for me)
some other games i really enjoy but that wouldnt really make the cut to be my absolute favourite would be:
- Minecraft
- Dark Deception
- Geometry Dash
- The Binding of Isaac

The elder scrolls series, and elder scrolls online.
Monster hunter world. I just feel like it was perfectly done, and I would've been happy if they just kept adding dlc to it rather than coming out with rise.
Warframe
League of legends

When it comes to all time, I would have to say Metal Gear Solid 3. The amount of focus they put into tiny details such as food rotting in real time, or the game's lighting changing in a cave due to the fact that the character was in the cave for so long that his eyes adjusted to the dark. Also, Snake Eater is a masterpiece of a song. Kingdom Hearts 2, Luigi's Mansion (the original), Pokemon Ruby and Skyrim are probably some of my other favorites. These are just the few I can think of.
Edit: Borderlands 2 as well.

My all time favourite game has got to be Bloodborne. It's not perfect (Character's mouths don't even move when they talk for example) but I just love everything about it. The grand, hauntingly beautiful score. The punishing but extremely rewarding gameplay. I also really appreciate that it has numerous mechanics to encourage aggressive gameplay. For example, if you just took damage, there's a brief period after which you can regain some health by successfully attacking enemies. In general, the combat just feels more fast paced and satisfying compared to other souls games. The lore is horrifying yet amazing as well.
The weapon variety isn't as great as other souls games, but Bloodborne makes up for that in the sheer quality of the weapons they have. Almost all of the weapons feel extremely satisfying to use and, as the little cherry on top, almost every weapon could be made viable if you build around it properly. So if you really like the Saw cleaver, you could upgrade it continuously and pump blood echoes into the skills that matter to keep the Saw cleaver powerful enough to compete with the stronger enemies. It still wouldn't really be able to reach the highs of some other weapons (Saw cleaver is a beginner weapon after all) but it would be viable enough to use which is something that I really appreciate it in a game.
Overall, all of these things come together to create a fantastic game which I'll remember fondly for years to come. I really hope that the rumours about the PC port are true. Although, new rumours pop up all the time so who knows?

My favorite of all time has stayed Lost Odyssey. A hidden gem that not enough got to play.

Monster Hunter
Farming Simulator

i love darkest dungeon. it's really difficult but i adore the aesthetic. they aren't afraid to go all out on the creepy/weirdness.
my main online game right now is paladins. i much prefer it over overwatch because it's fantasy themed and the characters are loveable. (even the male characters get fanservice skins along with the girls too)

I'm a fan of DBD, but I like all sorts of games, and my favorite changes once or twice a year depending on how much fun the game is and how much replay value it has.

Reviving an old thread 🥳🥳
My Top 10:
- Black Ops 1
- Ratchet and Clank 3
- Bloodborne
- Dead By Daylight
- God Of War 2018
- Black Ops 2
- Def Jam: Fight For New York
- Ty The Tasmanian Tiger
- Ratchet and Clank: A Crack In Time
- South Park: The Fractured But Whole
Found it very hard valuing my multiplayer games vs my single player games. I decided this list last year and have only made 1 change since then.
