Until I get DC penalties I didnt earn...if gens aren't worked on for 10 minutes start end game collapse is that so hard?

Try checking the lockers in the basement and/or the ones near the hatch, if the hatch is visible.
I always wait them out on principle, because I refuse to be forced to DC by people who just want to hide.

I feel exactly the same way I figure they might have hid in the killer shack across the map in the basement...match ended with them escaping with a key and hatch🙄 waited 30 minutes for that crap.

Survivors can definitely waste a ton of your time. I feel like after the match has been going on for X amount of minutes the survivors should be forced to complete generators at intervals or be aura revealed.
If I’m am winning a game by a landslide I typically camp the 3rd survivor to death so they can’t take my game hostage by hiding for 20+ minutes.

That's a great strategy.Do you mind if I,borrow it lol? I usally don't run into people who do this,sure some hide when the last or sometimes two are left but not really often.Their was one severe case when ,I was playing pig a while back.They kept rotating lockers possibly, so I just left and did something else can't really recall what it was.How would they be forced to do generator's?

I mean this is just throwing out numbers but say like 10 minutes after a match has started, a generator needs to be completed every 5 minutes or all survivors have their auras revealed for 10 seconds.
That’s plenty of time for the game to be played normally but would stop 2 people from hiding in bushes for a half hour doing nothing.

I was pissed of once when I was playing a normal game and I destroyed 2 guys at the starting of the match, there were 5 gens remaining and te other 2 teamates were hiding for ######### 40 minutes, I had to dc because they were gonna enter and get out of the locker to make crows not appear.

As others have mentioned, the encouragement or endorsement of unsportsmanlike conduct (DCing in this case) is against Forum Rules, please avoid doing so.
In this instance that the OP described where survivors refused to progress the match (no touching gens, only hiding) for 20-30 minutes, this could be considered holding the game hostage, and reportable with video evidence sent to Support for the ACMs to review: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/

It can be a little frustrating, but I'm guessing it's just one of those things that's part of the game ,I feel like it's to hardcore what you're suggesting.You shouldn't be forced to do anything and it could be counted as a strategy to wear the killer down.

Holding the game hostage is when the game is no longer able to progress for a prolonged or indefinite period of time (Note: this does NOT include slugging out a team or survivors refusing to leave after EGC has begun, just for some extra clarification). If you have video of the match where someone kept it from progressing for 40 minutes, you can submit it in a ticket to support along with the in-game report.

I actually had one of these today, all 4 were running full stealth builds and they were just sneaking from locker to locker and hiding in bushes, game took forever and they never did a gen...

I had a match earlier this evening and it was 2 gens left and 2 survivors left. I got so tired of searching around the map for the survivors to the point when I just messaged them and told them to finish the gens so we can end the game. It was at that point to where I didn't care about getting the 4k I just wanted the match to end. It's not worth my time.

For what it's worth I'm a survivor main (solo, which is relevant in a second) and I cannot STAND other survivors who just hide all match. Seeing the aura of a nearby survivor who's just being a cowardly little #########, doing absolutely nothing (except maybe switching lockers) as I die on the hook is absolutely infuriating. In addition it gives players like myself - who prefer stealth and trying to fly under the killer's radar - a bad name because when people don't see us, they assume that we're doing the same thing.

While I understand that we shouldn't encourage dc'ing from normal, active games, what, as a Mod, would be your suggestion as to how the OP should have dealt with this? What is BHVRs stance on this?
Being able to report them, is all well and good, but that doesn't help the situation as it occurs. And then it's useless if the OP didn't happen to be recording thier game. Even making suggestions of how to fix this doesn't take away the fact that the OP was stuck in a game for 30 mins. No player should have to wait it out; we just want to be able to play the game.

Just annoys me that I am wasting time going for an adept actually doing well but nope they get to hold the game hostage and I get screwed with a hatch escape...I would love to see the developers get some of these killer adepts myself🙄

I was on the boat ramp in the swamp and could see the other two gens close by and the boat gen was still unfinished...figured I could frenzy with legion if I needed to close the gap but nope...sorry legion you have two pretty useless perks but you have too sweat and earn that adept.

Thank you...would.the players just get a temporary ban or what would happen? I don't want them doing the same thing to other killers? It was still a waste of time I could have been playing more killer matches and lord knows there is a lack of killers...fixing this would only help in the long run for the longetivity of this game.

During the evening in the US, survivor queue time can be upwards of 10 minutes. Definitely not fun for that to happen.
