So I bought spirit and...i can understand the hate
I played in the past on switch and bought spirit for the perks. I played her a few times but quickly hated her because of the terrible switch performance.
Now I'm on ps5 and bought her again for the perks, I had a daily and thought "Well let's get it over" and played a round.
This killer is absolutely ridiculous... Me a total noob got multiple 4k in a row without tunneling or camping and with just level 1 ruin and thinkerer.
You don't need any skill, just a headset and the ability to hear. And the sad thing is, it's fun to play her.

And when we say "Spirit = Easy 4K", Spirit mains rejecting that. Spirit does not need any skill. If you are good basic killer mechanics, you can be good as Spirit.
And that is reason she needs nerf.

Cool story

You played her today?

Nope, I'm not plying while the mmr is still on. The last week around until the mmr started

Well yeah this is common knowledge that Spirit is easy to play and strong. I wouldn't worry about 'feeling bad' playing her or whatever. If you find her fun just play her.

So what was your rank, the survivors' ranks, how did the trial go, and so on? It's easy to say "4k" without giving any details. I can go on right now and 4k with Trickster using only M1 attacks because I haven't played killer in so long, I'm rank 20.
1 -
Rank doesn't matter with this new matchmaking system, the ranks they all have are pointless to know now
1 -
I'm a rank 12 and got mixed matches. I had a few Grey ranks but a lot of purple or red rank groups. But most of the players had a full tier 3 perk build with the usual stuff like dead hard, ds, iron will and stuff.

OP already said they weren't playing during the MMR test.

I don't think that's relevant information though. For how easy Spirit is, it's not hard to get consistent 4k's at any ranks. You would get a 4k with Trickster at rank 20 probably because you're skill level is of a rank 1. It doesn't really matter what rank this guy is, he's just acknowledging that Spirit is an easy character to do really well with, regardless of rank.

I'd need to see the actual trials. Red rank survivors tend to give up at the first sign of trouble, and having lower-ranked survivors can definitely make it more difficult.
To prove that, you'd probably need many trials with her from people who know nothing about what it's like to play killer.

She basically just requires decent hearing to perform extremely well with.

I think that Rin is starting to get very uncomfortable and upset from all this hate against her. She just wants to be loved and appreciated :(

What? My point was that at even skill levels, regardless of rank, Spirit is very likely to do well. Because she's an easy killer with next to no counterplay. Hence why she's so hated and why she's competitively viable. I don't think it's fair to counter every single argument you disagree with by saying "Ok prove it I need stats". If we put our personal biases aside for a second, I think we can all agree that Spirit is problematic, and thus her kit should be looked at and re-evaluated. No killer should be the cause of this much uproar, hate and disagreement.

Implying I'm only disagreeing with you because of my personal bias. Classic.
No killer should be the cause of this much uproar, hate and disagreement.
I've been here long enough to know that complaints about killers are cyclical. Complaints surge about one specific killer, they get nerfed, then complaints move on to the next killer. This time it's Spirit. Next it'll be Deathslinger or Nurse (for the umpteenth time). Doesn't matter how many times the killer is actually nerfed, they're inevitably put on the list again. The only way it ends is if killers get removed altogether, or are made so weak that you can 1v1 them.
For the record, the forum is a tiny subsection of the playerbase. Do not confuse a vocal minority for what the majority of the players want.

She has a funny way of showing it :p

Depends on the ranks tbf.

I didn't imply anything, I was just stating something. I was talking about the DBD community as a whole, not implying you were using personal bias.
And yes, I've played the game for a while now too and I know how killer complaints go. First it was Nurse, then Spirit was released, yada yada some Slinger here and there, and then you get to today. Spirit is by far the most problematic killer ever, and has been since her release. The complaints have not stopped. It's not simply "her turn." Surely you can see that is a bad thing right?
I also don't think it's a good idea to dismiss complaints simply because you believe they are some sort of cycle. People complain a lot about Spirit for so many reasons. There's no need to invalidate them. A game should be fun after all, and why should people not make complaints/suggestions to make the game more fun?
Regardless of whether people use the forum or not, people in end game lobbies always complain about a Spirit game. So no, the forum is a not "vocal minority" on this particular topic.
P.S there is no need to reply and talk to me (and I assume you do the same for others) in such a condescending tone.

This. I've been here long enough to see it too. Can't wait until we get to Micheal and them complaining about instadown. Better make killers just skins who move at 100% speed.

What rank are you?
0 -
Her actual counterplay is only available in SWFs as they can just be downed and still get 2 gens done in this time.
0 -
I love her and appreciate her.
0 -
Me too. Always will!

I played her and she is strong. But I did not find it fun to play as her. While I'm not going to say she does not require skill, because every killer requires skill. She a very low learning skill level with her ability, which is why a lot of people don't like her. You just really need to be very attentive, and have good ear listing skills. Which is why a lot of spirits will just hit and phase and get you down since she relies on sounds a lot of the time.

After Spirit its hag I don't know what your talking about.

I didn't imply anything, I was just stating something. I was talking about the DBD community as a whole, not implying you were using personal bias.
No matter who you were referring to, the implication is still the same. You're literally saying that if people were to put personal biases aside, they'd agree with your opinion. The implication is that people only disagree with you due to personal biases.
And yes, I've played the game for a while now too and I know how killer complaints go. First it was Nurse, then Spirit was released, yada yada some Slinger here and there, and then you get to today. The complaints never stop. That's my point. Nurse has been nerfed a few times now, yet the complaints didn't stop. Hillbilly has been nerfed, but the complaints didn't stop. Repeat for every killer that's been nerfed.
I also don't think it's a good idea to dismiss complaints simply because you believe they are some sort of cycle.
You dismiss people disagreeing with you as simply being biased. I dismiss them because every conversation about Spirit has been had. No matter how many times counterplay is brought up, people dismiss it. Same thing goes for every other killer and perk.
A game should be fun after all, and why should people not make complaints/suggestions to make the game more fun?
Fun for whom, though? Do you think it's fun for killers to be nerfed because a vocal minority on the forum keeps complaining? I don't think it's fun for them, at all. So, whose fun are you prioritizing, exactly?
Regardless of whether people use the forum or not, people in end game lobbies always complain about a Spirit game. So no, the forum is a not "vocal minority" on this particular topic.
Still a minority. There's hundreds of thousands of players. Your half dozen end-game chats are not statistically significant. Besides, people will say anything in the chat.
P.S there is no need to reply and talk to me (and I assume you do the same for others) in such a condescending tone.
No condescension here. A little irritation, but no condescension.
