Anyone played against VPN killers in NA or EU?
So I'm a Taiwanese that watches streams mainly in Chinese. I've noticed that recently, a bunch of main land chinese streamers switched their servers with VPN to play in EU or NA (they find these less try hard than Japan/ Korean server)
This behavior is so popular in the community that most of their streams have these white text up top showing which server they are in so people dont have to ask which they're in.
So to the main point --- when I watch their streams, I tried to pay attention to whether they suffer from having high ping (they should have 200-300ping) --- but to my horror, NOPE their perspective seemed unaffected by any high latency issue, they play just like how I play 60 ping in my own server.
This made me wonder, does DBD handle VPN pings correctly? I know majority of these Chinese streamers pay third party VPNs to "speed up" their connection to travel around the world and spread their love.
What were your experience getting these VPN killers? Was the game still "playable" IYO?

I played against one streamer from Brazil 1 year ago while I'm playing on EU.
He got stun after 2 seconds after dropping a pallet on him. Of course I got a hit too before the stun animation.
Is still can be playable? Yeah but you really need to play like where the killer is in his perspective & get a distance btw you and vpn killer. But it's definitely not enjoyable.

I faced a VPN killer recently, even made a post about it asking if it was bannable or not. In the end I did decide to submit a ticket. Unsure if it'll see any results. Anyways, I got hit through a pallet in a way that seemed super suspect (If anything, I dropped the pallet TOO early but still got hit anyways). The player later commented on my profile and then repeatedly lied that they hadn't used a VPN, even though I literally had a screenshot of them admitting to VPN'ing in the post-game chat. Really bizarre interaction that was. I think it's fair to say that using a VPN is cheating, but I suppose the people who use them probably don't care.

OMG that was exactly what I imagined! Hilarious and sad at the same time.
It feels like their "connection speed booster" thing spoof their actual ping away so the system misjudge many dsync situations.
I honestly hope the devs pay attention to this earlier, because this VPN thing is a rising trend in the Chinese community, and I feel bad that more people have to suffer from this.

Like most pc things, if they're editing something it's for an advantage. Whether its survivor or killer the VPN thing will make it near impossible to play against. Its honestly why I wish I could avoid most pc players, feel kinda scummy to play with advantages and sadly most do and gives pc a bad name
