Survivors, stop taking everything the killer does as a personal attack.
This is the biggest problem that I see in endgame chats and on console DMs. People acting like the way that you play the game was a direct attack on them. Tunneling for instance, the only time that I tunnel is when there is two or less gens left And I need somebody dead. That is it. You just so happened to be the person that is now on death hook. If any other of your teammates were also on death hook I would have tunneled them too. After being a rank one killer for so long, when I play survivor and there's like one or two gens left and I start getting tunneled. I have never been upset about it. Because I understand that he needs somebody dead. If he doesn't kill somebody the last two gens are going to pop unless he has a three-gen and even then unless he has pop or ruin up that three gen isn't going to last forever. When Killers need somebody dead they need somebody dead. That is how it is.

If they’re going to let a game effect their life then that’s on them lol. No need post something that’s not going to change people’s motives in any way shape or form but I do understand that they need to stop taking that ######### seriously.

I understand both sides in the situation. On one hand, the killer needs a kill to gain momentum when they're in a bad situation, resulting in tunneling someone which is completely understandable. On the other hand, the survivor is going to feel frustrated at such an unfun tactic, especially if it's hard tunneling. Some people will feel the need to throw out their anger on someone, and usually people decide that the person who made them feel this way should face their anger. Usually people calm down after a while, and even when I'm angry enough to message someone I usually go back an hour later to apologise.
To sum it up, I understand both sides despite tunneling being fine.

By the time you’ve tunnelled and killed them, all the gens will fly and it doesn’t matter if you down them, because they’ll have plenty of hook time left to escape. Inefficient and annoying strategy, pressure the gens and maybe you’ll do better.

You're talking about hard tunneling where the killer just chases one person all game. I'm talking about tunneling someone on death hook near the end of the game to slow the gens down

Again, it will make zero difference at that point. You’re just giving a free escape to the other three survivors. It’s basically just playing scummy without any reward.

Except for a lot of people it happens nearly every trial. Whenever I play on NA West servers the killer is hardcore tunneling and facecamping, usually from the start, and they usually lose. It's a completely different experience to any other server I've ever played on.
Under those conditions, you can 100% understand why people get so pissed. Wanna have fun playing DbD? Lol, get wrecked, you're actually playing pinyata-sim or gen-sim.

Don't try to reason with them it's a losing battle. They don't understand that you can't pressure more than 1 gen at a time with most killers and especially when there isn't a 3 gen and when the survivors are most likely spit on 2 gens with 1 already going to unhook. They just want you to leave hook at the end so they get the easy unhook.
I had a survivor say i camped the last hook and i should have left.....why? bbq showed me the exact scenario above, there was no gen pressure to be had, 2 survivors were working separate gens, 1 survivor was not on bbq so camping was simply the best strategy at that point. Now get ready for the get gud comments but i like to play casually, i'm not here to spend hours studying, i'm just here to have fun and i do so thanks.

Depends on who the target is. If its the poor potato that goes down in 5 seconds, then it's really the best choice. If the killer gets rid of someone asap, then they remove a lot of pressure and can stress a little less.

Don't take anything you see in the endgame chat seriously. In telling other people to not get worked up about it, you yourself get worked up about it. Just understand that people are frustrated and you aren't going to change anything.

well playing killer and having 2 gens left with no one dead or at least death hook means you are behind on hooks, at that point your only chance is to take out a survivor out of the game as soon as possible, this is how you apply pressure, on a 3v1 scenario if you get a hook then you know for a fact the other 2 will have to risk getting chased while trying to unhook and therefore off gens, if chases are short enough you can keep this hook -chase-hook loop on 1 v 3 to net you a win, so yeah, nothing personal but someone has to die or game is over for the killer.

survivors can hate tunneling and camping all they want but the fact is they're both legit strategies that killers are often forced to do. If gens are getting done too fast than you kind of have to tunnel someone out before the last gen pops to help a little bit. Same goes for camping at endgame to secure a kill.

When I play Survivor, I want a killer that show no concerns for anything but the kill. The moment killers start handing out mercy, the match loses purpose.

One time I was playing survivor with three other people and a killer spawned in the map WITH US.
