Possible Licensed Characters for the Future
I know it could be awhile before we get another licensed character, but if we do get another one soon, who do you think it’ll be and why?
From how I’ve heard more about upcoming movies for Candyman and Scream (and because of the fanbases that want them in DBD) I think it could be possible we could get Candyman and Sidney Prescott. What do y’all think overall licenses though?

I'd like to see either candyman or pinhead. I think candyman is more likely but I'd rather see pinhead.
With pinhead you could have so mamy different cosmetics for all the different cenobites.
His power could be a cool use of his chains.
The puzzlebox could also introduce some cool new mechanics.

I remember how some people thought pinhead was chapter 15 with the teaser with the chains and got pissed when it was deathslinger

Thats probably why its unlikely to get added to dbd, not many people are familiar with it. It was mainstream horror up until maybe 10 years ago.
Its really heavy on gore but the character designs are iconic, imo.
Like most horror franchises the first few are decent and then quickly become campier as they add more sequels a la' jason in space, stuff like that lol

I’m pretty convinced Pennywise will be in this game some day. Cote loves Stephen King and loves the idea behind Pennywise, and so do the fans.
I think an Alien or Predator will eventually come. Their too requested to leave out.
Chucky will find a way in, somehow.
And the rest is up in the air, really.

My most likely prediction and hope would be Alien (Ripley and Xenomorph) because I think its such an iconic horror/thriller series that would work well in DBD. Also considering they confirmed another new map would be coming this next dbd year then I think Alien has a lot of potential for a unique and interesting map location that we haven't seen before.
Aside from that I also think Until Dawn and FNAF would be cool if done right but I'm less likely to believe the potential for those happening.
(Also give me Daphne and Velma from scooby doo lol)

Sidney won't be in game due to licensing most likely. Thats why Ghostface isn't based on the movies, but the costume itself. Its similar to why Freddy isn't based on Robert Englund's iconic character.
As far licensed go, I'd be interested in The Ring. I think there could be TVs all around the map that she can travel to, similar to Hag, but no manual set up. She can have blinks like Nurse and/or cause madness like Doctor. There's a lot that can be done with this.
I'd also be interested in Scooby-Doo Doo, Supernatural or Shaun of the Dead for survivors. Id buy them in a literal heartbeat lol

Hellraiser, Child's Play and Friday the 13th chapters are my top 3. Once / if these are added I will be very happy :)

You know, The Thing would be a very interesting killer. Like how in the hell would something like a shape-shifting work in this game? I know I've seem the whole thing about Legion disguising themselves as survivors and how that's how it should've been when they released. But consuming and shape-shifting is kind of the MO of The Thing. Unless if they want to introduce one of the Thing mutation forms like the iconic double faced Thing. Or BHVR could possibly create their own mutation form of the creature. Either way I'd be very intrigued to see how they could possibly pull something like this off.
Oh and needless to say, the survivor to come with The Thing would have to be MacReady. Damn what a sight it would be seeing Bruce Campbell's Ash standing side by side with Kurt Russell's R.J. MacReady. Don't think the game could handle those levels of badassitude.

the mad hatter ngl- like an evil twisted one from alice: madness returns. and alice as a survivor. its an amazing game and i would lowkey love someone who isnt necessarily a villian/killer to be one

I'd really like to see a non-horror related licensed chapter, just to see how they would make it fit into DBD.
Probably won't happen anytime soon, if ever, but eh.

Seriously though, there's still lots of possibilities! At least according to the last few survey's they have begun to narrow things down but we're still left with heavy hitters from all sorts of media. From Alien, The Thing, Chucky, Hellraiser and of course, F13 to name a few for movies. FNAF, The Evil Within, Outlast and Dead Space for games and even Spawn for comics. That's just the tip of the iceberg so, yeah, I feel like they still got lot's of rabbits to pull out from their hats! ;)

I'm still hoping we get Buffy(Sarah Michelle Gellar) at some point. She's the licensed character I want most.

I am guessing we will get a Halloween revamp this fall. The new movie comes out in October I think. I just hope they don't screw up Shape too much.

I would love to see Sarah Michelle Gellar but not necessarily as Buffy, as she actually has was too strong powers. Could of course always give more reasons why she doesn’t have them in the fog but.. eh..
My hope would be her character from I Know What You Did Last Summer: Helen Shivers.

BUT! If they add him, he better say "Be my victim" in his mori. Usually the developers are great when it comes to license killers, but this will break my heart if they don't do it.

I would love to have a Dead Space chapter. The Necromorph could be an incredibly interesting concept.
That or Alan Wake. The Taken could make for an interesting killer. They're not effected by pallets or stuns as easily until they are hit with light.
Personally, I don't want Chucky, whatever the guy from Hellraiser is called, or Pennywise.
