Can the killer message you in a public survivor lobby chat? Because it just happened to me.

Just made a forum acct for this

Obviously I’m not gonna name names, but one of the random’s in my (solo queue) survivor lobby brought a key, and apparently this nurse wasn’t a big fan of it. While we were all typing in chat about what perks we should bring and saying GL, a 5th name popped up and started calling us “baby survivors.” My initial reaction was “either someone changed their name or i’m going against a hacker.” Fortunately that was not the case, but after 2 of us escaped via hatch I saw the killer’s name matched the name in the pregame survivor lobby. 

My question is how is that possible? Unfortunately I couldn’t get a screenshot in time, but when i added the killer on discord they immediately blocked me, so I know it wasn’t a glitch.
