Not a fan of the Hag

Is it just me...

I hate the Hag. All she has to do is hook one survivor, place a million traps and then wait for you to unhook, teleport and then down the next survivor until everyone has been death hooked and eventually killed.

Does anyone else feel this same hate? Or does anyone at least have some advice for me to escape this torment? I'm a survivor main (low rank killer and still learning and have only played the game for several months) and I'm still learning and want to get better at the game because I love it. I don't want hate over certain killers (or players poor choices) to make me hate the game.

That's it, that's all it took. Thank you for all your help.

You can crouch. This will not trigger any traps.

Sadly many hag players play her wrong and spam traps around the hook but atleast you do not have to worry about traps at other places.

If you get unhooked or you are approaching a hooked surv start crouching. Flashlights can also erase traps. One last Info to really mess with her : if you know where she planted a trap, approach it slowly and as soon as you trigger it run away from the phantasm. She can teleport as fast as she want, she will not get you if you do it properly

Where's that from? I'm guessing something related to vampires or the undead in general?

Ironically enough, I actually don't know myself, lol.

You're not alone. Personally I think the Hag needs a bit of a rework. As much as I like playing as her, it's kinda bs that the counters to her power are flashlights and crouching.

    It's from Tokyo Ghoul

Yup, called it. I'm guessing the main character is a very average person who becomes an undead against his will and tries to maintain his human life while secretly eating people?

A camping hag with 10 traps at the hook can be annoying, but is not really effective.

A hag with two traps at the basement and make your choice is a death sentence most of the time.

And a good hag is really strong and will probably destroy average survivors.

Against a normal camping hag you should just do the same as against every other camping killer. Gens.

Against basement hag you will probably lose bc she can protect the hook and play the game at the same time. You are lucky if you have a flashlight.

Against a good hag in general you need to destroy her web constantly and spread out.

Looking at the ground in chase is really zzz

Key when facing hag is to identify that you are playing against her sooner than later; then disrupt her web as much as possible. Ideally with flashlights. When she picks up a survivor it is time to trigger as many traps as possible, etc. Facing a hag is like no other killer, she doesn't chase for long, she setups an area and uses her power.

Damn well that's unfortunate 😂 good thing I never said I'm an intellectual lol

To the person who wrote the post I'll be honest mate Hag doesn't get any better the more you play the game. She's either a really good Hag or a bad, camping Hag. Neither of these are fun to face so just be happy she isn't played that often.

I like hag actually. If she does what you suggest, she will lose when you wait till the end of hook phases. There are several things you can do:

    Crouching will not trigger traps

    Flashlights destroy her traps.

If he injures someone in a chase, you can trigger her traps, and she has to choose if she switches target to you, or just stays with the other guy. IF she picks someone up, you can trigger her traps anyway.

You can trigger her traps with the maximum range to it and run away, and she won´t get you.

I sympathize with you. i don't like to play against her either, to say the least.

What i usually do is change my perks every match with at least one auras perk like Alert or Kindred or both. Plunderer's Instinct or Appraisal and Small Game.

Kindred can help us knowing where she is setting her traps and Alert can show us what she is doing after breaking something. i find it very useful, it helped me a lot with information.

To be safer it's better to use flashlight (I'm not good at using it but for disabling traps it's easy)

Maybe two chest perks is too much for a flashlight but i will take it if i can find a flashlight and medkit for the others.

With hag traps either use a flashlight to destroy her traps or crouch over them.

When crouching the traps won't go off and you can safely unhook.

But be sure that you immediately crouch so the traps won't go off, that goes for both the person who unhook as well as the person who has been unhooked.

If either of you don't crouch than it is bye bye and 1 of you is getting downed

Hag isn’t a lot of fun to fight tbh. Her only counters are crouching and an item and she’s fundamentally designed to not chase survivors which is the only really fun thing about playing survivor

Crouch to the hook her traps won't activate if you do this you can unhook while crouching. I hope this is somewhat helpful.

My issue is that I'll crouch to move across it but as soon as I stand to unhook, it still seems to set it off. The other issue is I rarely bring in a flashlight because I'm terrible with them and end up getting murdered 90% of the time when trying to practice with it.

I guess if I we got to see the killer the same way they saw us, it would be different. If I knew I was going into the match against a hag, I would gladly bring in a flashlight. But thank you for the advice, regardless.

Maybe not for you, but a rank 13-17 tends to get stuck with the world's worst campers and constantly jack our ranks. I have only been playing roughly 4-5 months and it can take time to get to rank 10-11 (which is usually where I stay stuck because I'm still learning each survivor and how to escape each killer), so when rank reset happens I'm usually back to 13 and end up with so many players that camp and tunnel for BP that I usually end up in 14-15 a lot quicker than back to 10-11. It is just frustrating because Hags & Bubbas are the worst. I don't think I should have to bring in a flashlight constantly to avoid this type of behavior. I hate flashlights.

Okay then this is where I go wrong. I had NO idea you can unhook while crouching. Thank you for a solid piece of advice.
